ThunderCats

The inhabitants of the planet Thundera evacuate just before it is destroyed. They were pursued by a band of mutants. All but one of their escape ships was destroyed. Only a small group of Thunderians (Thundercats) remained. With only half engine power, the group, which was led by Jaga, had to set a course for the nearest planet. Jaga commanded their ship while the other seven were in their stasis tubes. Jaga died on their journey to Third Earth and their ship crashed there. Soon they made friends with various groups in the area and they designed a fortress. Mumm-Ra the centuries-old embodiment of evil, along with the mutants that destroyed the rest of the Thunderians are a constant threat. But Lion-O, the new leader of the Thundercats, with his weapon the "Sword of Omens" will help the Thundercats to have a standing chance.

Magical Emi, the Magic Star

Kazuki Mai, an elementary schoolgirl, wanted to be a magician but her skills weren't good enough for her to join her grandparents' Magiccarat troupe. One day she sees a light enter a strange heart-shaped mirror. The light is actually a mirror fairy named Topo, who takes over her favourite stuffed toy, a flying squirrel and gives her a bracelet with the 4 card suits. The bracelet can turn into a bubble wand which transforms Mai into the 18 year old magician Magical Emi, who uses her magic to help people and participate in her grandparents' shows.

The Secret City

The Secret City was a television program designed to teach children how to draw, starring Mark Kistler as as the fictional ‘Commander Mark’ who led viewers and in-studio club members through various drawing exercises in a sci-fi clubhouse setting full of fun, fantasy, and adventure. While the show’s format essentially prioritizes instruction over narrative, ongoing ‘drama’ is created by the frequent addition of new key features to the emerging scenery of the giant Secret City mural. Often Special Guests would appear on the show to demonstrate other art forms or practical applications for drawing skills. The show was created by John Price & Mark Kistler, based on Bruce McIntyre's AVDP. Much of the series was edited live in-camera and was shot in a somewhat semi-scripted format. It was produced at Maryland Public Television through private funding by Children's Video Associates, and intended for broadcast via national PBS syndication. It also aired on TVOntario.

Wuzzles

Disney's The Wuzzles is an animated television series created for Saturday morning television, and was first broadcast on September 14, 1985 on CBS. An idea of Michael Eisner for his new Disney television animation studio. The premise is that the main characters are hybrids of two different animals. The original thirteen episodes ran on CBS for their first run. With only 13 episodes of The Wuzzles, it was one of the shortest running animated series produced by Disney. One season later, Wuzzles moved to ABC for reruns, and disappeared from network television after that.

Please! Psammea-don is a Japanese anime that was broadcast from 2 April 1985 to 4 February 1986 with a total of 78 episodes produced. This anime is based on the 1902 novel Five Children and It by English author Edith Nesbit. The anime differs from the novel in revolving around four children rather than five. Three of the children are siblings while the fourth is their friend and neighbor. The four children encounter the Psammead who, in the anime, is depicted as being yellow with a blue hat, and more of a grumpy and lazy being than mischievous. In Latin America, the series was known as Samed, el duende mágico and in France and Quebec as Sablotin. In the Arab world, it was known as Moghamarat Samid.

Froutopia

Children's series with dolls which is the television adaptation of the comic of the same name (1983) by the writer Evgenios Trivizas and the cartoonist Nikos Maroulakis. The series is about the adventures of journalist Pikos Apikos, who travels to the distant land of Fruitopia to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Manolis of Manavis. The comic was also transferred to television in 1985, by the Sofianou family, visualized with puppets and achieving great success. The series began airing on November 8,1985, on the ERT channel and now also plays on ERTFLIX. Despite the fact that the finale of Fruitopia never aired, due to cutbacks in the programming zone in which the series aired, with a total of 48 episodes, were aired several times in the following years.

Rocky Hollow

Rocky Hollow was a stop-motion animation children's television series made in Wales. The show is narrated by Peter Sallis, who became the voice of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit This was the first children's television show produced by Bumper Films which later made Fireman Sam, Starhill Ponies and Joshua Jones for the BBC in production with S4C, Mike Young Productions and Prism Art and Design Ltd. The whole series has been released on various videos but so far has not been released on DVD until 2014.
