Sylvanian Families is a syndicated animated series based on the Sylvanian Families merchandising franchise developed by Epoch. The series was produced in the United States by DIC Animation City with the animation being produced in Japan. It was first broadcast in 1987 on Syndication, with reruns on The CBN Family Channel in the late 1980s and PAX TV during the late 1990s.

Show was designed by Miroslav Duša, animated by Dalimil Koutek and directed by Miroslav Sobota, Dalimil Koutek (animated part) and Václav Pavel Borovička. Title song written by Karel Svoboda, sung by Marika Gombitová in slovak version. Show was created in studio Prométheus Ostrava in cooperation with german GOLD-FILM Gmbh Pforzheim.

The Family-Ness is a British cartoon series produced in 1983. It was first broadcast on BBC One from 5 October 1984 to 5 April 1985, and it was created by Peter Maddocks of Maddocks Cartoon Productions. Maddocks later went on to produce Penny Crayon and Jimbo and the Jet Set in a similar style. Family-Ness was about the adventures of a family of Loch Ness Monsters and the MacTout family, particularly siblings Elspeth and Angus. The 'Nessies' could be called from the loch by the two children by means of their "thistle whistles". The series was followed with a large collection of merchandising including annuals, story books, character models and even a record. The single "You'll Never Find a Nessie in the Zoo" was written by Roger and Gavin Greenaway, but never made it into the Top 40.

Creepy Crawlies was a stop motion animation series created by Cosgrove Hall. The series consisted of 52 ten-minute episodes, which were broadcast on Children's ITV between 1987 and 1989. All episodes were written by Peter Reeves and directed by Franc Vose and Brian Little; narration and character voices were provided by Paul Nicholas. The series was based upon the daily goings-on of a group of common invertebrate creatures that lived at the bottom of a garden around an old sundial. And so another bright new day dawns upon the home of the Creepy Crawlies, Mr Harrison the snooty snail, Suppose the lowly red-nosed worm, Ariadne the spider, the irksome woodlouse-come-pill-bug called Anorak, meek Ladybird, Lambeth the brawny-but-brainless beetle and Ancient the aged caterpillar dwell right down at the bottom of the garden, near the shed, on and around an old broken sundial. The shows featured the everyday adventures of a group of characters living on Pigeon Street, an area of flats and terraced housing in a British city, also home to several pigeons which appeared in each show but only occasionally featured in the plot. Trazan & Banarne was a Swedish children's television series which was broadcast first in late 1970s/early 1980s, 1st time was as "Jullovsmorgon" 1976/1977, in Sveriges Television. The title characters are played by Lasse Åberg and Klasse Möllberg. The title characters have recorded many songs together with the band Electric Banana Band. The TV series did also broadcast TV series as Lucky Luke. In early 2000s Trazan & Banarne released the CD-ROM game Speltajm.

Hello Kitty and Friends, also known as Sanrio World Masterpiece Cinema Series in Japan, is a series of Japanese direct-to-video animations starring Hello Kitty, Mimmy, and other Sanrio characters. The original Japanese OVAs were produced from 1989 all the way up to 1998. Out of the 80 OVAs produced, only 30 were dubbed into English and compiled into a TV series. This anime aired on Toon Disney in the United States and on YTV in Canada. 13 OVAs with Hello Kitty, 10 with Keroppi, 4 with Pekkle, 2 with Pochacco and only 1 with Patty and Jimmy were dubbed into English. Two similar shows, Hello Kitty's Paradise and Hello Kitty's Animation Theater, as well as Growing Up With Hello Kitty, would follow this series between the mid 1990s and the early 2000s.
