Flying Saucer War Bankid is a tokusatsu series made by Toho. The series, consisting of 26 episodes, is a co-production with Nippon Television, and aired in Japan starting on October 3, 1976 until March 23, 1977. The series follows the titular Bankids, brightly colored superheroes, who fight invaders from the planet Bukimi.

The Phantom Agents are modern day ninja working for the Japanese government, mostly against the dastardly "Black Flag" organization. They wore "pudding basin" motorcycle helmets, and in the earlier episodes they ran everywhere in single file, but later graduated to a Toyota Crown Saloon. The Phantom Agents are armed with ninja weapons such as shuriken and use guns "only as a last resort." They can jump backwards up onto the limbs of trees and hold a piece of cloth with a brick pattern on it in front of them and thus become invisible to their opponents. Agents included Phantar, the leader; Tugor, Cordo, Zemo and a female agent, Margo. There was also a small boy agent, Tomba.

Harumichi Bouya is the new transfer student coming to Suzuran High School, nicknamed the "School of Crows" because of the jet-black school outfit & the fact that all of the students are hated delinquents. Harumichi quickly becomes friends with Yasuo Yasuda, a small & weak boy who is easily preyed upon by the large Akutsu. Fuun Lion-Maru, translated as Storm Cloud Lion Maru, was a tokusatsu series that aired in Japan in 1973. It was the second series in the Lion-Maru trilogy, and featured a third Maru-like character named Black Jaguar. This Lion-Maru is deemed "the Rolling Tempest Ninja Warrior." This series was popularized in Brazil as Lion Man in 1989, the only other country besides Japan to show the 25 episodes of this series.

The 30 Sentai Great Encyclopedia is a series of featurettes that aired at the end of each episode (Task) of Boukenger that honors each of its predecessors in the Super Sentai franchise, starting with Task 4. They looked back at each of the 29 previous teams, referencing various items within the older shows, and later on, wearing the costumes and using other props from the series, such as the "civilian" clothing. After covering themselves, they start a new series of segments called the Special Files that cover milestones from the "First Sentai Team" to the "First Sixth Hero" and then the "First Multi Gattai", playing an insert song from the respective series. The show's final segment covered its successor Juken Sentai Gekiranger. The Encyclopedia is not included as part of Boukenger in the DVD release or on streaming.

Lion Games' Korean online role-playing game Soul Worker is inspiring an anime that will be streamed online. The publisher NHN PlayArt made the announcement at a press conference marking the completion of the game. The press conference showed an animatic preview and the storyboards for the anime.
