France Five, originally titled Juushi Sentai France Five and later known as Shin Kenjuushi France Five, is a French series produced by Buki X-4 Productions in the 2000s. It is an homage to Toei's ever-popular Super Sentai series, which was extremely popular in France in the 1980s. As a nod to Super Sentai titles having certain motifs, France Five has each member themed after certain aspects of French culture. Plot : Glou Man Chou, ruler of the Lexos Empire, desires to conquer planet Earth. However, the Eiffel Tower generates a barrier around the planet that keeps him from sending his armies en masse. Glou Man Chou sends his warriors and monsters to Earth to destroy the tower and enable a full-scale invasion, but they are opposed by France Five.

Lí Ban is a Northern Irish anime-inspired animated series produced by Claire Handley and Jude Petticrew. Heavily inspired by the story of Lí Ban, the series follows the titular 12-year-old character and her dog Con as they mysteriously transform into a mermaid and a sea otter. After 30 years of peace is Kisawazu, the Eight Swords of Sealing are scattered from the Yatsurugi Shrine once more. This even reawakens the Undersea Empire Zabun, who plan on finding the swords and using them to reawaken their master King Orga. As well as them, the mystical embodiment of the phoenix, Yatsurugi, arrives and merges with Takeru Yamato, a young fisherman and regular visitor to the shrine. Now with this new power, Yatsurugi, and eventually the similar deity Kisara, come forth to stop the unsealing of King Orga and return the Swords to the Shrine, as had been dne for many generations before them.
