The show's final segment covered its successor Juken Sentai Gekiranger. The Encyclopedia is not included as part of Boukenger in the DVD release or on streaming.

The Forest Rangers was a Canadian television series that ran from 1963 to 1965. It was a co-production between CBC Television and ITC Entertainment and was Canada's first television show produced in colour. Executive producer Maxine Samuels founded the show. In June 2004, there was a reunion for ex-cast and fans just south of Kleinburg, where the show was originally filmed. Six of the ex-junior rangers appeared and Peter Tully flew in from his home in Ireland. Another reunion occurred June 15, 2013 at the actual studios where the show was filmed. This time nine junior rangers and Gordon Pinsent were in attendance. The show's first season was released on DVD by Imavision in early 2007.

Snapphanar is a Swedish miniseries which aired in three parts on Sveriges Television during Christmas 2006, directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein. The historical drama is about the Snapphane peasant rebel movement which fought against the Swedish rule of Scania in the 17th century. The "Snapphanar" was a rebellion people, who fought secretly for Denmark during 1660-1700. The miniseries were criticised by historians due to a perceived lack of historical accuracy. The Scanian nationalist attitudes portrayed in the series did not exist in the 17th century, and the term snapphane, which is used for self-identification in the series, was in fact a derogatory term used by Swedes.
