Pappyland was a live action children's television show originally written by Jon Nappa. More than 65 episodes were written by award-winning children's writer, Benette Whitmore. It was originally broadcast on TLC from September 30, 1996 to December 1999. Then, after cancellation, aired reruns until February 21, 2003. The show starred acclaimed cartoonist-artist Michael Cariglio as Pappy Drewitt, an artist/49er type character who lived in a magical cabin in a bizarre land with many different creatures and people. More than half of the show was shot on bluescreen. During each half-hour segment, Pappy and other characters danced, sang, taught life lessons and other children's television fare but the main focus of the show was watching Pappy draw pictures. Viewers who sent in their artwork, had their drawing shown during the "Hall of Frames" segment near the end and the closing credits.

The New Ghostwriter Mysteries is a CBS television show that aired in 1997. It was loosely based on an earlier series on PBS called Ghostwriter. The New Ghostwriter Mysteries was canceled after a year due to low ratings. The show featured a new team of three kids: Camella Gorik, Emilie Robeson, and Henry "Strick" Strickland. Ghostwriter only had two colors, which were silver and gold. The show was filmed in Canada, and aired from September through December 1997.

Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures is a reality television series about animals and their exciting adventures. This series is hosted by Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. It is shown weekly in syndication across the country on numerous stations and networks. It is particularly popular in part because of Hanna's mainstream name recognition as an animal expert, but also because the show meets programing criteria for federally mandated educational and informational requirements which all stations must follow. Because of this, some networks air the show five days per week, thus covering all but a half hour of the three-hour E/I mandate.

Oscar's Orchestra is a British children's animated TV series that ran from 1994 to 1996 comprising a total of three seasons and 39 episodes. Oscar and his fellow musical instruments plot against Vent and his henchmen, Lucius and Tank, and his soothsayer, Goodtooth, who always says: 'You screamed, master!'. The voice of Oscar was provided by Dudley Moore.

The PBS version of the program was originally presented by TV station KIXE in the Redding and Chico areas of the U.S. state of California. Mark Kistler additionally released some publications teaching techniques used in the show. It had a short reprise later in the 1990s but did not continue to run past a few episodes. The show released 131 episodes, from 1993 to 2009. Pumuckls Abenteuer is a German television series. It is based on the fictional character Pumuckl created by Ellis Kaut. It is a sequel series to 1980s TV series Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl and the cinematric movie Pumuckl und der blaue Klabauter. Due to his dead in 1993 actor Gustl Bayrhammer could not reprise his role of Meister Eder. Instead of recasting the character the producers decided to feature characters which had been new introduced in the cinematric movie, making the movie sort of a pilot to this series, bridging the gab between the events of first series and this one.

The Loggerheads was an animated cartoon television series by Magma Films. It combined an old viking storylines with dark humour. It lasted only one season and was shown in Germany in 1997, on Britain's Channel Five in 1998 and later on the Pop TV channel, and in Italy TMC2 in 1999. The Story revolved around the Loggerhead chief Bjorn the Red and the rich Gissur the Pale and his family's attempts to contest the post. The opening/ending theme of the Italian version was written by Vito Abbonato and Andrea Ridolfi.

Familie Heinz Becker is a German television series that aired from 1992 through 2004. The show revolves around the lives of Heinz Becker and his family, as well as those of neighbors and onlookers, although the focus of the series changed over the course of the series. In the first season, much of the humor was derived from Heinz's petty behavior; the character of his wife, Hilde, was not played for laughs. During seasons 2-4, Hilde's character became more naive but was devoted; much of the humor came from family dialogues. After Season 4, the focus shifted more to public life. Seasons 6 and 7 are not as well esteemed by critics as they repeat a number of older jokes and much of the comedy came from awkward situations, misspeaking, and other more mainstream comedic elements.

In 1986 another series was aired: Der kleine Vampir which was based upon other books. In the new series, other actors were used as the originals were now eight years older. The new series is neither a successor concerning the story. Furthermore, the new series introduce Anna and Rüdigers parents. Also, uncle Theodor is not present as he is dead whereas Theodor was a main character in the first series.
