Cambia tutto

Cambia Tutto is comprised of over 2500 images that, when brought together in sequence, take the viewer through the small Italian village of Cavaso del Tomba — a place that has changed from a cultural epicentre of its rural region to a sleepy town surrounded by industrial sites. Each frame of the film is a carefully photographed or painted image of a specific aspect of the area and the score is interwoven with local field recordings. All these details come together to celebrate this small overlooked village and show how immensely beautiful those unnoticed things and forgotten places are if you pay attention.

Triskelion

A dark abstract exploration of the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ theme and mind control. Three realities spiral together as a woman sacrifices everything attempting to escape the labyrinth, fighting to become the master of her consciousness. A twisting triptych of narratives spirals together a contemporary metaphor, exploring the dark night of the soul. The themes of imprisonment by technology, torture, sacrifice we make for our material reality. Self empowerment, rebirth, naked and bloody as a warrior within fights to escape. The ‘Triskelion’ is a maze-like symbol of three interlocking spirals, the film structure moves in a similar way, connected at the centre through the characters journey, whilst evolving as three narrative layers pull the story into a spiral. Each of the themes drift towards their own end whilst forming a complete visual puzzle at the climax.

The Singer Story: Made in Clydebank

The Singer sewing machine, international icon and a symbol of the Industrial Revolution, helped put the town of Clydebank on the map. Over the course of a century, it employed tens of thousands of 'bankies' before its demise nearly 40 years ago. This documentary charts the story of those workers: how their lives were intertwined with the fortunes of Scotland’s first US multinational company. The programme pays homage to the Singer machine, and the huge impact it made on families and households all over the world.
