In this intense drama, filmed in Tahiti, a Tahitian girl from a small fishing village fantasizes about becoming the bride of the local boy she works with. When he leaves, she is crushed. She is later raped by a sailor and to escape it all leaves the island and sails for Europe to become an artist's model. There she meets a handsome fellow with whom she has a brief affair. Then he too deserts her and again her heart is broken. The despondent girl begins hanging out in bars and having a series of brief encounters until she meets a man who seems different from the rest.

In the context of the Cold War, use of the word “shelter” was common. However, it surprised Iimura when he started to live in New York in the 1960s. His work Shelter 9999 embodied the idea of a shelter of the future. Iimura captured scratched letters and abstract lines on black film. Letters were not legible at the speed 24 letters per second that corresponded to the sequence of 24 frames per second. Experimental musician and music professor Alvin Lucier was in charge of sound. Together they performed the collaborative work at a disco club in East Village.

Calamity results when the Pink Panther wishes for a pair of roller-skates and is granted his wish by his fairy godmother. The "enchanted" skates take the Pink Panther on an uncontrollable junket through a city. He smashes repeatedly through huge windows being unloaded by moving men, knocks over a painter's ladder, tracks through the paint, and puts double lines on a road- and off the road- for cars to follow. He collides with a brick wall, and still the skates won't stop. Every attempt by the panther to remove the troublesome skates fails, until his fairy godmother returns to grant two more wishes. The panther wishes for the removal of the skates, then for the skates to be placed on the fairy godmother's feet, sending her on a similarly uncontrolled and disastrous journey.

Claude is a small and silent boy who carries around a box to which he keeps adding dials, antenna, etc. His parents are extremely rich, throughout the film Calude’s father keeps telling his son: “Claude, you’ll never amount to anything.” Mother several times exasperatedly asks him: “Can’t you do anything, Claude?”. Claude says nothing but, in the end, he has the last act: he twiddles the dials on his completed box and vaporizes both parents.

A routine look at the indominatible spirit of impoverished young boys in Morocco, this drama by Jacques Severac also does not ignore the rather oppressive conditions under which the boys live. In one story, a little fellow has set his heart on buying a sewing machine for his mother. Like the other shoe-shine boys, his goal of saving up money is almost impossible to meet yet after much travail he is finally able to get her a machine. Sadly enough, his triumph is destined to be short-lived when the much-desired sewing machine is broken in an accident. Undaunted, the lad decides the only thing for it is to start again from scratch.
