However, Yamagata is stabbed by Uehara, who is furious. Yuko and Aya head to the hospital with Mushi no Soku Yamagata in the car. Eventually, Yamagata dies, and the two leave him behind. And at that moment, Yamagata came back to life...

The plot is based on the novel “Akechi Samanosuke no Koi,” the final work in a trilogy by Hiroshi Kato about the forced suicide of Oda Nobunaga at the temple Honnoji. Historically, the general Akechi Mitsuhide is credited with causing Nobunaga’s downfall. Kato’s novel focuses on Mitsuhide’s nephew Samanosuke, who fought alongside his uncle during the assault on Honnoji.

New band members were added for this concert, and the sound is heavier and tighter than usual, with Gackt and his band putting on an entertaining experimental performance. Renowned Japanese poet Shuntaro Tanikawa teams with former "rock chick" Wakako Kaku to craft this pensive love story told almost entirely in still photographs. After steering a suicidal man away from the brink of despair, an astronomical observatory worker teaches him her favorite watchword, "Yah Chakya!" ("I, Seagull"). The phrase had once been spoken by the first female cosmonaut, and was the call-sign for the Soviet spacecraft Vostok. But for this woman, the word has taken on greater meaning; not only is it a greeting, but a secret handshake and a symbol of the universe as well. Upon learning the phrase, the man finally finds the strength to go on living.
Kyoka, a university student, receives an old brown envelope in which she finds a photograph of her classmate, Sachiko. With this, she also finds a mysterious message saying "Help me".
