The film tells the story of events related to the migration policy of Angela Merkel - events taking place in Germany since 2015. For a year and a half, the director of the film took part in all the demonstrations against Merkel's policies. From the author: "I have lived in Germany for 14 years, and all this time it seemed to me that I lived in one of the most democratic countries in the world. But since September 2015, exactly from the moment when our dear Frau Merkel opened the borders and announced that Germany is ready to accept refugees from Syria, I realized that this is not the case. One of the safest countries in the world is gradually turning into the territory of madness... And there can be no other way where citizens have been taught for decades to live with a sense of guilt for the crimes of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. So Germany is now destroying itself. To please people with an alien culture who will never become part of German society."

‘The Image that Spits, the Eye that Accumulates’ is a 11 minute digital and Kodachrome Super 16mm film converted to HD by artist filmmaker Rhea Storr. Her work explores the representation of Black and mixed-race cultures drawing on her rural upbringing and British Bahamian heritage. Set in Norfolk’s coastal village of Happisburgh the film navigates how a body, both two and three dimensional, acquires language. The human and photographic bodies must negotiate Norfolk’s eroding landscape. As notions of ‘I’ and ‘other’ disintegrate the images become unstable and unreliable alluding to the effects of coastal erosion on Happisburgh’s coastline and questioning ‘what place does a mixed-race body have in this landscape’. The Kodachrome film – overlaid with grainy family holiday photos and mobile phone footage – was once hailed for its vibrant colours and archival properties however it is now unable to be commercially produced.

Narration of one of the most lacerating events in the history of this municipality in the Sierra de Cádiz: the murder of 15 neighbors, without trial or formation of any cause. Some of these victims had fled in September 1936 but ended up returning to the municipality, probably in February 1937. It was on that date that the town's Falangists arrested them and executed them, and not as previously thought in the summer of 1936. Several survivors and relatives of those massacres narrate what the arrests of the women and the shootings were like. They also talk about the exhumation of the bodies of these 15 women, where for many years family and friends have brought flowers.
