The Friends

Philippe is an older man and an industrialist whose wife is confined to her bed. They have no children. As he is preparing to go on a vacation to the seaside, he strikes up an acquaintance with Paul, a young working-class boy, and decides to bring him along. This is Paul's first glimpse of how the other half lives, with their first-class hotels and so on. When he meets some aristocratic young people at the resort, he tries to put over the fiction that he is of their class, with poor success.

Returning from Lapland, where he buried his father, a renowned scientist, Jerry Cornelius, comes back to London with the firm intention of taking revenge on his brother Frank and snatching his beloved sister Catherine from his clutches. Since the recent gigantic global conflagration, things have changed considerably. If he wanted to, Jerry could easily get hold of napalm to blow up Frank's hideout. But he prefers to join forces with the disturbing Mrs Brunner, who, with the help of three scientists – Smiles, Lucas and Powys – is trying to recover a mysterious microfilm left to Frank by his father...

The film takes on Ali, a member of a wealthy family, and his shared infatuation with a night club worker by the name of Tülay. Ali and Tülay want to get married. Though Ali’s father disapproves of the union at first, he eventually gives in. But the owner of the night club that Tülay works at, Ejdar Hasan, also has his eye on her. Hasan proposes a large sum of money to Tülay as a measure to convince her not to get married to Ali. When Ali’s father ups the offer, Hasan resorts to other plans. The day of the marriage, Hasan and his men cut off the wedding motorcade. In the conflict that arises, Ali’s father is killed. In retaliation, Ali kills a few of Hasan’s men, and lands himself in prison. During the transfer from the courthouse to prison, Ali escapes in order to exact his revenge
