Sei, after murdering Ji-young for her inheritance and unintentionally causing the death of Ji-young's driver, is lured into a trap by the driver's fiancée, Hye-sook, who deceives Sei by making it seem as though Ji-young is still alive, leading to an escalating confrontation where they eventually become fugitives and lovers, but their brief happiness ends when Hye-sook falls to her death, and Sei is arrested.

13-year-old Kim Young-chul, who reads his mother and is ill, has a father and two younger brothers who cannot afford to live. Neighbors who feel pity for this and sympathize with Dong-jang take the center stage and decide on her stepmother, so that Yeong-chul marries her father. However, the family faces difficulties due to the rude behavior of his younger brother Yeong-i. Her stepmother takes all of her and takes care of the poor children with her patience and sincerity. Eventually, order is established in her home, her laughter spreads, and her children gradually understand her mother.

Zhonggang, a former commercial harbour in Miaoli County once suffering from sedimentation and decline, thrived again with its joss paper (ghost money) industry. Almost every family was part of it: Different generations worked together, attaching gold foils and stamping the paper in red ink, before sending it to dry. When massive stacks of golden joss paper basked in the sun, the town seemed to be covered in dreamy golden waves.

A member of the AG (Avant-garde Group) as well as leader of the group Space & Time (S.T.) 1969 – 1980, Lee Kun-yong helped to open the horizon for contemporary art in Korea through his experimental approach to conceptual art, performance and installation. When Lee attended the 8th Paris Biennale in 1973, the experience deeply changed his thinking, and he began to consider the body as an artistic medium in itself. He focused on performances related to space, situation, site and the body, giving it the name ‘event’; drawing a line between ‘happenings’ and his own practice. From 1975 to 1979, Lee presented about 50 ‘events’ in different locations and exhibitions, and although documentation of Lee’s performances is extremely rare, Event Logical shows one of these events. I cut out a rectangular portion of a photograph to create a peephole, equivalent to a camera viewfinder. The cut-out photograph is a sequence of photographs that show a hand pointing at the peephole. I repeatedly overlaid the sequence of peephole photographs onto a photograph of a corner of a room, creating an image in which the window looking into a part moves within the whole.

In the live action section, I expressed the relationship between the landscape and the viewfinder with a moving matte, and in the photographic section, I explored the relationship between the image and the frame by presenting various patterns.
A movie film shot continuously is a series of action shots, one frame at a time. This is because there is a continuation of movement between the images in one frame and the next. On the other hand, since each frame is a single photograph, it is possible to trim and enlarge or reduce the image frame by frame. For example, if the normal zoom process is A→B→C→D, by enlarging and reducing each frame, it can become C→A→D→B. This is not unnatural since a movie is a series of photographs. The movement of the subject is continuous within the image that is enlarged and reduced frame by frame.

The White Hare of Inaba is a film directed by Katō Yoshihiro, a central member of Zero Jigen, with cinematography by the filmmaker Ōe Masanori. Drawing on the Japanese myth of the white hare of Inaba, it presents a white hare (i.e. woman) leaping across waters full of ferocious sharks (i.e. male-dominated society), presenting a vision for a new era while capturing on film the joy of human beings’ inherent Eros and a new mode of “family” that breaks free of feudalistic social constraints.
