Created for the first Japanese exhibition dedicated to video art, Video Communication: Do-It-Yourself-Kit, this work documents protests outside the Chisso Corporation headquarters in central Tokyo. Hazardous byproducts from the company’s chemical plants had caused severe mercury poisoning—and, consequently, a neurological disease—in Minamata’s livestock and inhabitants. Nakaya filmed the sit-in with a handheld video camera and installed a battery-powered television monitor on-site, allowing the demonstrators to watch themselves by playing back the recordings of their actions.
In the Taebong dynasty towards end of King Gungye's reign in the deep ravines, a thousand year old pair of foxes lived. They were father and daughter practicing asceticism to become humans. Lee Mu-gi, a snake skilled at the martial arts, changes into a human to capture Hyo-nyo. He rescues Hyo-nyo from Ok-to dragon which came to earth to find the learned priest Gwang Seon-sa. Hwang Jeong and old man Hwang (the foxes) take a liking to Ok-to and decide to help him fight the thieves and they defeat Lee Mu-gi. Hwang Jeong falls for Ok-to. But knowing she can't love a human, Hwang Jeong gives her life to save Ok-to.

A piece of white paper with “IMAI” typed on its surface is placed on top of a paper cone speaker, which emits the recorded sound of Imai’s heartbeat. As the iron coil fixed to the inner part of the speaker vibrates back and forth, the piece of white paper flips up and down, as if it has a life of its own. This work demonstrates Imai’s desire to visualize the sound created by an inner organ that one is usually not conscious of hearing.

What is a frame? He attempts to make a film that doesn't have the normal 16mm frame. He also doesn't respect standard recording principles. Thus, a distinction must be made between: - the real time during which he films the object (himself) through his camera. - the time the film is recorded. These two periods do not always correspond to real time. The image must illustrate the search for these different notions of time. To achieve this, he experiments and places a 16mm film on top of a 35mm film during the shooting.

Yeong and Hyeob are young underground musicians and very much in love until the day wehn Yeong witnesses Hyeob kissing a wealthy fan. She leaves him effectively breaking up their singing duo. She begins helping her friend Woo-jin in establishing a youth center but Woo-jin's estranged wife and a bitter Hyeob unite to make the pair miserable.

This animated documentary is derived from footage shot at the site of the Sanrizuka struggle opposing the construction of Narita Airport. In addition to scenes evidently shot before and after the Nihon Genyasai Festival in Sanrizuka, it features time-lapse sequences showing abandoned houses and construction equipment leveling requisitioned land. “The footage was filmed in Narita. Because this land had been seized, I became conscious of the intensity of my own inner landscape. My time-lapse filming of the landscape was intended for use in an animation-as-documentary.”

The camera slowly zooms, in over a long period of time, on the light of the sun reflected in the mirror of a bicycle parked at the construction site. To this is added a slowly evolving flicker effect derived from negative-positive reversals, progressively dismantling the distance from the subject. Nakai created a masking film with a calculated pattern of black and white frames into which he inserted positive and negative images and made a print out of two separate rolls of film. The original projection speed was 16 frames per second, but the sound is separate from the open-roll tape rather than burned in, so it can also be screened at 24fps. Also, the original sound consisted of the friction noise of rubbing steel, but in 2019 a new version of the sound was created featuring the friction noise of glass. Two versions of the film exist: 24:15 mins at 24 fps and 40 mins at 16 fps.

Heo-Don marries So-Yeon who saved his life, and goes to Han Yang to succeed in the world with the help of his father-in-law. But Heo-Don, a very ambitious man, remarries some magistrate's daughter Kil-Rae, and doesn't want to meet So-Yeon and her servant Pal-Bok, who get killed accused of committing adultery. Jang-Hyeon, So-Yeon's brother, is appointed as a new magistrate in the town after the former one was scared to death by So-Yeon's ghost. Getting to know that his sister's death was by false accusation, Jang-Hyeon investigates the case. Heo-Don, feeling guilty of what he's done, kills his wife and himself in front of Jang-Hyeon.
