Karen is an ordinary high school student in Tokyo, but she sometimes recalls pieces of her childhood memories that she did not know before. During the process of getting her passport for a school trip, Karen views her family register. She learns that she had an older sister Yukari, who died at the age of 4. Karen also learns that her parents are not her biological parents and that she was adopted. Karen now wants to learn about herself. She lies to her parents and tells them that she is leaving on the school trip. Instead, she travels to Fukuoka where she was born. Her classmate Satoi Hogari accompanies her.

Takumi left Japan to go live in France despite his father’s disapproval. After a long absence, he returns to his hometown Toyama, a small port in decline on the north coast of Japan...

「Touken Ranbu：The Musical “HIGEKIRI HIZAMARU DUO PERFORMANCE 2020 ～SOGA～”」 is a performance by Higekiri and Hizamaru. In Part 1, the musical,「The Tale of Soga」, which is known as one of Japan’s 3 Largest Vendettas, was performed. In Part 2, the live concert portion, the 2 sing a total of 12 songs as well as new songs written for solely this performance, and songs performed on previous Touken Ranbu：The Musical performances. In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the audience capacity was limited to 50%, and the usual call and response interaction with the audience was cut. Nevertheless, the performers were welcomed with hugely enthusiastic applause from their fans.

At the Tokyo Central Securities company where Naoki Hanzawa has been posted, a massive overhaul of the securities trading system is scheduled. Meanwhile, at an upstart search engine development and operations IT firm, SPIRAL, a rookie programmer named Kousaka, having just displayed prodigious programming skills that staved off a disastrous system shutdown, gets rewarded by being named leader of a competitive project that could make-or-break the rising company. But at the same time, nobody is aware of a dark conspiracy lurking beneath the surface.

Tells the story of three young people living in the after corona and wis corona worlds. When a lost salaried worker, Mochizuki Yuto, who had lived all over the world, wanted to quit his job, an emergency declaration was issued due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Armed with explosives, they were given the code name fu-go, or fusen bakudan (“fire balloons,” or balloon bombs) in an attempt to instill a culture of fear like that caused by the far more deadly American firebombing of Japanese cities. The U.S. responded by enacting a censorship campaign, requesting newspapers avoid reports of fu-go landings or sightings. Living near the remains of a fu-go launch site in Fukushima Prefecture, Takeuchi mimics their flight take-off using a drone camera, and, traveling to North America, follows their arrival across the shoreline and rural landscapes, using a bat’s echolocation as narrative device to place fu-go and Fukushima as echos across history.

Atsushi limps and escapes from a closed facility for drug addicts. He has only one goal: to kill his wife. Straying around, he is hit on a country road at night. When the driver gets out to check on him, Atsushi takes the opportunity and steals his car. Completely surprised, he notices the middle school student Nanako in the passenger seat. Actually on the way to a hotel room with her customer, the young girl desperately clings to her key ring: the only thing she has left of her mother. Deeply wounded by life, the unequal couple embarks on a journey into the unknown.

When Koichi asks Anri to take over the restaurant, she tries to find a recipe for gyoza with Goro, a flavor that holds special memories for her, and the two quickly become close as they spend day and night working together in the kitchen. However, the ties of a past relationship stand in the way of their future...

The whole play stands or falls on the fact that the leading actress cries off the cuff. Too bad Ayano can't do that.

Based on the masterpiece of Japanese literary writer TANIZAKI Jun’ichirō, Naomi, this is an ambitious work by KATASHIMA Ikki showcasing his unique and bold style of cinematography. The original novel is set in the early 20th century during which the western influence largely affected Japan. However, this film version is set in the 70s, when Japan was starting to enjoy its affluence and the World Exposition was held in Osaka. In the middle of a hot and humid summer, Joji, a middle-aged man, appears to be enchanted by a young and attractive Naomi. Joji openly pursues her, while Naomi sometimes despises and makes fun of him. Regardless, Joji falls more and more for her. One Day, Naomi suddenly disappears. Joji’s jealousy and obsession surmounts until it threatened to destroy them all.

The script is by Yukiko Sode who is responsible for Good Stripes and Aristocrats.
