Sven arrives in nowadays Auschwitz to do his civil service at the memorial. He encounters unfriendliness, especially by Stanislaw Krzeminski, the 85 year old KZ-survivor, and Krzysztof Lanuszewski, brother of his early love affair Ania. Even his boss Herold, the places manager, does little to help Sven familiarize. But when problems accumulate Sven realises that he already has become involved.

Jack Manningham tries to drive his wife Bella out of her mind with cunning heartlessness. He hides things he previously gave her for safekeeping, makes household items disappear only to find them in the most unlikely places, and puts words in Bella's mouth that she never said. All to convince her that, like her deceased mother, she is suffering from a split consciousness and delusions of persecution.Jack Manningham has his reasons. The Film begins with an emphatically serious discussion between Kolle, the sex researcher Professor Hans Giese, and the psychologist Wolfgang Hochheimer. After that follow the first play scenes. In a buoyant conversation, two model cases of sexual difficulties in marriage and their causes are discussed. A newlywed couple one the one side and a couple already married for seven years on the other side discuss about their problems. The words are illustrated by play scenes, short comments which point to the consequences of a lack of sexual education are inserted in between. With the newlyweds, the premature orgasm of the husband causes his wife woes as she is missing the loving foreplay and aftermath. The second husband, an architect who has become father of two children in the meantime, in contrast, neglects his wife in favour of his job.

It is love at first sight: elderly secretary Luzi and young, unemployed Dietmar find each other by accident in Rosa von Praunheim’s outrageous genre, social satire.

Geologist Lena receives the news that her father Gottfried, who abandoned her eight years ago, is terminally ill. With a heavy heart, she travels back to her home village in the mountains with her young daughter. Take a perfect cast, a great conductor and a groundbreaking staging in-out makes a 'Tristan' for eternity. The 1983 performance in Bayreuth was a great moment for the world of opera. The ensemble performance of René Kollo, Johanna Meier and Matti Salminen with, then as now the Wagner admirer, Daniel Barenboim conducting the Bayreuth orchestra inspired singers and instrumentalists to peak performance.
