The story of Shen Tang Tang (starring Debbie Goh), a stingy and selfish landlady who owns an old flat apartment where she rents out to Ah Hun (Adrian Tan) who lives with his father. It's almost Chinese New Year, and the township is holding a Dong song contest, in which Xiaoji won the first place in the primary school song contest. The whole family hoped that their parents would come back soon for a reunion, but time and time again, they were disappointed. In order to let the children whose parents are not back have a happy New Year's Eve, Teacher Xu and the village chief organised a lively New Year's Eve dinner for the whole village.

His neighbor, Ren Dingqi wrote a memoir, but he didn't really show it to Luo Bing. Luo Bing knew the history of this village much more after getting close to Ren Dingqi every time

"Desire Line" was originally an architect's term for paths made by people when walking across open grassland, what these lines represent are the shortest or most easily navigated routes between an origin and destination. The film uses this idea in the context of how an artificial intelligence might work: the AI generates optimal solutions to user problems as a form of desire line calculation. The film aims to interrogate the increasingly controversial role of Artificial Intelligence by visualising a statement from a bot about its experience on a Valentine's Day in the near future.
