Kharms

He considers himself a genius but the publishers refuse to print his works. He loves women but they don’t always understand him. Constantly without money and out of touch with reality. The elegant fop Daniil Yuvachov names himself Kharms- a name just as effective as his appearance. An habitué of unending literary get-togethers and a lover of scandal. Living in society he is completely separate from it. Kharms throws down a gauntlet to his time, audaciously hurling himself into the vortex of reality, just as vague and arbitrary, with the same contradictions, as represented by his spirit.

Stolen Happiness

Vera has the perfect marriage. She's a caring housewife and excels at her primary task—pleasing and providing a comfortable life for her husband, Boris, a musician and conservatory teacher. Vera might have lived a somewhat dull and stable life if not for her younger sister, Nika, who unexpectedly and unceremoniously intruded on their family idyll. Vera isn't happy about the unexpected visit, and for good reason. She and her sister became strangers after Nika "stole" Vera's happiness, stealing her sister's fiancé, her first "school love." Now Nika has separated from her husband and is once again "actively searching." And, as several years ago, Nika's choice once again falls on Vera's chosen one. It seems history is repeating itself. But this time, Vera isn't giving up. She will try to reclaim her "stolen happiness."

Жизнь Анатолия Гребнева

Anatoly Grebnev is one of the iconic screenwriters of our cinema. In 2023 he would have turned one hundred years old. He died before reaching eighty. His screenwriting works include “July Rain” by Marlen Khutsiev and “St. Petersburg Secrets,” one of the first Russian television series; “Success” with Leonid Filatov, “Prokhindiada, or Running in Place” with Alexander Kalyagin, “Diary of a School Principal” with Oleg Borisov. He worked with Yuliy Raizman and Anatoly Efros, and left our time with a living and relevant “Diary of the Last Screenwriter.” The peculiarity of Grebnev’s fate is that he came to cinema only in the middle of his life - as an adult, mature person. His childhood, youth and youth were full of hopes and failures, love and loss. The film will tell not only about Grebnev’s film biography, but also about that first life that he left for the sake of cinema.
