Still, life has meaning. A university student with the unusual name of Takanashi (小鳥遊). Today, he works part-time as a road construction worker, causing trouble, but he falls in love at first sight with a rollerblader who passes by. He is happy to see her again by chance, but in a strange turn of events, he is misunderstood and falls asleep. When he wakes up, he sets off to express his feelings. At the same time, she also starts running to find him... A sensitive and timid young man steps out into the outside world for the first time. Regardless of the outcome, the preciousness of the act itself is lightly conveyed in a spare, lean film.

This provocative work by director Ike stands as a highly controversial piece. It boldly tackles themes rarely addressed directly in Film Research Club productions, such as imperial war responsibility, political ideology, and revolution. At the time of production, rumors spread within the university that the Film Research Club was engaged in “dangerous activities” (i.e., leftist activism), nearly resulting in the club’s permanent suspension. The narrative shifts dramatically from a fantasy-like beginning to a heavily message-driven second half, deliberately disorienting the viewer. Far from being a lightweight student film, it is an anarchic work filled with a striking and unsettling energy.

A heartbreaking and fruitless virtual love story between a NEET otaku youth addicted to video games and a beautiful girl who appears as a game character. This film is a paradoxical homage to director Nobuhiko Obayashi.

Shot in Okinawa and in Taiwan, Kamioka's latest dazzlement is her attempt to go beyond borders: geographical and political borders, borders of time, borders of gender. Nobody else could have made it, but it does feel somewhat like a woman's answer to a Kenneth Anger movie.

The film is a naturalistic portrayal of the temperament of a single woman of today. The film is a real love story about the life of a single woman. The use of props such as a credit card and an answering machine in an unreasonable setting shines through in the scenario.

Suddenly a girl notices that she has a seed. She sets off to find out the meaning of the seed.

Peter is a young actor without roots. He returns to Minneapolis, where his friend Clive is struggling to find someone to fill a request from the city hall. They need an actor to take the lead role in the city's production. Peter reluctantly agrees, and when he arrives at the city hall he finds out that the other "Actors" are all locals with big aspirations and little talent. Moreover, he learns that he is expected to direct. The show will be "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

In 19th century Europe, photographs of the “grotesque” such as deformed bodies and corpses were popular and enthusiastically traded and collected. In contemporary Japan, a video about voluptuous little Sayomi who loves to collect Mickey Mouse paraphernalia—how do people look at her as she sways to Baroque in a white negligee? Do modern-day cavaliers court her? Will her domineering mother save her from evil eyes? The director hands her the video camera and attempts to present the world through her perspective. She dresses her up in extravagance, shows off her glamorous presence, and proves that she is no sissy object or victim—she is larger than life.

Though the pic was billed at 90 minutes, its actual length was considerably shorter, which may account for some unexplained gaps in recounting the disturbing history of Masaya Muraishi.

During the summer, Santa takes time to inspect his reindeer. One of his top reindeer, Kringle, announces his retirement, revealing that his grandson, Kuppi, has been following in his hooves. Kuppi dreams of pulling Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve, but to earn his place, he must compete in a reindeer race during winter. The first ten reindeer to cross the finish line will earn the honor of leading Santa's sleigh on Christmas night.
