The film was produced and released under the term of chairman Mao Zedong when the cultural revolution was still ongoing. The plot backdrop is based on the National Revolutionary Army's 8th Route Army division, when it was under the control of Communist Party of China instead of the opposing Kuomintang. Despite numerous movie adaptations, this is the only animation piece ever produced on the subject. A story book was also released as a companion to the film.

A mysterious killer dons a succession of masks to do his dirty work.

Kim Hee-Gap and his wife Hwang come to visit their five sons living in Seoul. They move from one son's to other son's, not being able to take nagging of some daughter-in-law or the ill-nature of some grandchildren. One day after they experienced lots of incidents and troubles, their five sons and daughters-in-law, and grandchildren gather to enjoy the family party. The old couple leave Seoul, getting pleased with their sons' love for them.

Man-sook, the king's executioner, promises dutiful Su-kyeong that he will give her father a proper burial after he has been executed. The two fall in love and marry but their lives are complicated by Su-kyeong's ambitious uncle who wants to make use of Man-sook's talent for killing to remove political opponents.

"Narita: The Peasants of the Second Fortress" (1971) chronicles a decisive phase in the struggle against the construction of the Narita International Airport, as farmers in Sanrizuka adopted new defensive tactics, including the construction of fortified towers and underground shelters. As police forces moved to dismantle these structures, confrontations intensified. The film combines scenes of direct conflict with extended conversations between Ogawa and the farmers, documenting both the physical resistance and the sustained community organizing that defined this stage of the protest.

Inspection of the plot Ministry of Public Security Inspector Gangmun-gil is enjoying a picnic with his family on holidays. He wakes up in a nearby neighborhood where he picks up rusty shells from nearby Kangdongsan and witnesses a devastating explosion. The family members of the Kang test who have not escaped from Seoul are caught by the Communist army. Even at the end of all torture, his wife, Shinhee, does not cover the area where the river exam is hidden. However, the spy Choi Choi, who was sentenced to death, does everything he can to find out the location of the river exam. The Kang test finds the importance of security with the people of all walks of life who have imagined the last moment when his family is put to death.

A folk festival with a three-hundred-year history held at Suwa Shrine in Toya in Sagamihara City’s Midori Ward, Kanagawa Prefecture. Within the shrine grounds, a father, mother, and child lion line up and dance to the sound of flutes and singing. As a prayer dance that retains a simplicity passed down since the 17th century, it is unique in Japan.

Psychedelic –and at times sinister– music by Shinpei Kikuchi accompanies a disorienting display of reproduced imagery taken from magazines and posters of sunny beaches and bikini models. Tanaami made positive and negative reprographic prints of these images onto transparent cel sheets, placed them on top of one another, and twisted them in different directions to create a moiré effect. Speaking on the work, Tanaami explained his paradise only exists in the world of reproduction.

The final collaboration between Hiroshi Teshigahara and Kobo Abe, 240 Hours in a Day is a four-panel projection produced for the 1970 Osaka Expo. Set in the near future, a scientist invents an accelerator that increases the speed of human activity tenfold.

Ok-Nyo, daughter of poor but noble family, falls in love with a young noble man Mr. Jeong. Hyang-A, daughter of chief of district, is so jealous that set a fire in Ok-Nyo's house using her father's power. Ok-Nyo and her family helplessly die. Mr. Jeong has to marry to Hyang-A because he is forced to do so by chief of district. Every night Ok-Nyo's resented spirit appears in the disguise of Hyang-A to torment Hyang-A. After the days of terrible horror, Hyang-A regrets what she did and comes back to Mr. Jeong.

The preschooler Mako and the rabbit Pico learn what to watch out for when walking on the road. The work combines animation and live action to help young children learn the rules of the road in a fun and easy-to-understand way.

The grey mullet is known for its roe, a beloved delicacy in Taiwan. Every year around the winter solstice, schools of grey mullet migrate south to spawn. When the cold current hits Taiwan, so comes the grey mullet. In order to catch the precious ‘black gold’ at dawn, local fishermen set out in the thick mist and follow the mullet in the dark. This documentary focuses on the mullet industry and captures the 300-year-old tradition of mullet fishing.

The films concerns the "duration" (or non-duration) of one frame, as the title indicates, the minimum unit of film in space (dark and light) with sound (or silent) and their various combinations.

Made when I was simply beside myself with excitement from seeing Toshio Matsumoto's ATMAN. I placed photographs of Noh masks in a variety of backgrounds and pulled the camera aimed at the photographs towards them and away from them, circled it around them and into them as if the camera had gone mad. I wanted to express my weird, eerie feelings towards Noh masks with brutal images. (Takashi Ito)

This work was started in 1967 as a documentation of Nakajima’s life. The footage was edited into a single piece for the first time in 1974, in time to show the work to the curator Barbara London, who was visiting Japan. Generations of his family were lost and gained that year, with Nakajima's mother passing away, and then his child was born. The piece is an installation with two monitors; the left presents his mother and himself, and the right, his child and himself. Nakajima continues to work on the sequels of "My Life" with his grandchild.
