When he treats little Nicole Weber's knee after a bicycle accident, former detective Armin Streiwen has no idea that this will make him a murder suspect. A short film about fate. A man works in a small clothing store that one day is visited by two mysterious men. The men are there to play a game of chess.

The film tells the story of a tree that during the course of the year receives a rather radical pruning of its foliage. In the course of this simple story we go through the four seasons of the year; The transfer from season to season is accentuated by the music, as well as by the change of colors from silent grays of the winter to vivid green in the summer. The comic effect in the film is achieved by the contrast between the lazy and sleepy character of the tree and the active and jumpy character of the barber.

The film focuses on a group of people with various disabilities who are helped by the Hamburg-based association “Insel” to lead largely independent lives. We see them at home, at work, and at the “Insel” premises, where they meet every Thursday afternoon to drink coffee and talk.

A brown bear in the wild causes a sensation as a border crosser between Tyrol and Bavaria. This film was made by hand with materials 16mm blank film (100m), transparent silicon, and blue pigment (Prussian-Paris blue), without a camera. There are 14,000 continuous blue pictures in this film without cuts. The reality of this work is the continuity of emotion and feeling expressed by the colour blue - a highly spiritual colour, Harada shows its emotional significance. The deeper it is, he shows, the more it awakens a desire for the eternal. You can see it dotted poignantly about in this film, sometimes as part of a far-off backdrop, and often as the outline of a mysterious mountain settlement.

FRANKREICH WIR KOMMEN is a highly enjoyable documentary, obviously intended for TV, but showing at film festivals. It shows us the highlights of the 1998 World Cup Championships in France through the eyes of several interesting and diverse fans of the Austrian national team. Entertaining, even for those not interested in football.
