The Violin

Circa late 1930s, Boat Quay, Singapore. A young boy receives an old violin as a gift out of kindness from a foreign trader. From then on, it becomes a treasured possession as he teaches himself to play the instrument over several years, until it was lost during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. After the war, the violin was found by a man working for the British Military Administration and given to his young daughter. The girl learns to play it and becomes a renowned violinist over the decades. She eventually passes the instrument on to her grandson, an accomplished violinist himself, who restores it and performs in a concert by the Singapore River, where the violin started its unexpected journey nearly 80 years ago.

Blood Letter Mystery Case of Shuntian

One day, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the body of Mr. Wen, who was running a restaurant in Gyeongseong, is found dead. Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, Wang Seong-rim, a mailman from Suncheon-bu, finds a blood letter, but there are too many suspicious things to conclude as a suicide. Eventually, as a result of interrogation of Mr. Won's wife, he finds out that Mr. Won did not know the letters in his lifetime. At that time, Mr. Sa, who he had known well with Mr. Won, was murdered again with a similar technique, and Wang Seong-rim from Suncheon-bu, struggling to find a suspect, is on the verge of death...

He elaborates: "I'd like to tell you about my love story. But my love story may sound really disappointing to you, because love never happened to me. The Kidnap

Lin was unknowingly casted as a body double for Nana (a diva under prolonged hospitalization) in order to dispel fears and to help revive Zhang Tiansheng's dying music company which signed Nana. Lin ran away after learning that she was only meant as a body double, only to be kidnapped by a garment factory owner (Wang Yitou) who mistook Lin for Nana. Wang's business was failing and he needed a famous singer to act as a spokesperson, by singing a song for his company in order to save his business. Hence, begins an intertwined story of mistaken identity, reconciliation with truth, hopes, trust, forgiveness and friendship.
