Four Roads To Hell is an anthology featuring short stories based on true accounts as collected from writers Hirokatsu Kihara and Ichiro Nakayama. This is part of the "Tales Of Terror From Japan" series.

Kicki has after several years abroad returned to Sweden. Her 17-year old son has been brought up by his grandmother and has a very distant relationship to his mother. In an effort to get reacquainted Kicki invites her son to join her on vacation in Taiwan. The story is set in a village in the southern Japanese prefecture of Kōchi during World War II. A elementary schoolgirl named Eiko transfers from the city of Yokohama to this village. Eiko happens to have blue eyes from her American father, and her classmates make no attempt to rein in their bullying. The children's lives change as the injured father of one of Kenta's classmates returns from the battlefield and news of more casualties arrives in the village.

Hong Sang-soo's Lost in the Mountains depicts Mi-sook's suffering when she discovers her friend Jin-young has been secretly sleeping with her lover.

Tae-ju, a murderer serving a life sentence in prison, is given a temporary release to save the life of a seriously ill young girl, Se-hee, who suffers from Wilson's disease and desperately needs a liver transplant. Se-hee is the daughter of Yeong-woo, and old friend of Tae-ju's who is now a police officer. Upon discovering that Se-hee's now deceased mother was his ex-girlfriend, Tae-ju realises that he is in fact her biological father, and does everything he can to try and save her life.

The film is composed of six interconnected segments, each exploring different aspects of love across multiple generations. The story begins in the 1960s with a young boy in a rural village and spans across decades to feature characters in various stages of life. The first part, titled "Tangerine Ghost," follows a young boy in the 1960s, while later parts explore the lives of middle-aged and elderly characters dealing with loss, love, and memories. The film’s narrative revolves around a symbolic ancient ginkgo tree in the village, which connects the characters and their experiences throughout the six parts.

Kageko, a teacher in a small mountain village with a thriving Japanese paper industry, is visited by a former student, who proposes a plan to manufacture counterfeit money. She initially refuses, but eventually decides to join the project for the sake of the poor children in the village and her own mentally handicapped child.

Ken is a mean and stingy but successful salesman. One day he has a car accident and meets his own conscious. His Conscious just gives him seveb days to live. Ken convinces it to let him live on if seven people come and visit him. Disappointed by his colleagues' attitudes, Ken meets Tina, a girl who is as rude and mean as him. They finally change their bad personalities and Ken saves his own life by having seven visitors.

"My Own Breathing" is the final documentary of the trilogy, The Murmuring about comfort women during the World War II directed by BYUN Young-joo. This is the completion of her seven years work. BYUN's first and second documentaries spoke of grandmothers' everyday life through the origin of their torment, while My Own Breathing goes back to their past from their everyday life. Deleting any device of narration or music, the camera lets grandmothers talk about themselves. Finally, the film revives their deep voices trampled by harsh history.
