An Introvert's Guide to High School

High school sucks. In 2012, 17 year old Sophie Harvey suffered trauma by a clueless school administration solely because she was an introvert. Comedy-as-therapy - IGTHS - is a farcical improv movie about the inherent bias against introverts. Created by an inclusive, diverse cast and crew, led by a team of women and non-binary department heads, IGTHS was made by and for people who care about changing how we treat misunderstood youth. Seven years in the making. Creative contributions from introverts all over the internet. Sophie still doesn't want to talk about it.

Little President

The media hype didn’t do any good for the Calais Jungle. Far from such echoes, Christophe Clavert’s concern is to come back to the sites – afterwards, otherwise. Beginning with clarifications as to how to do things. Thus, by way of a preamble, the scrupulous and detailed reminder of events and the political, administrative context of the jungle in Calais in 2016 while the places the film-maker evokes unfold through slow, methodical sequences. It’s about the tale’s rendition, from one time to another, and from the images of the regime unfolding, with its magnificent drawings taken back then, in counterpoint to the photographic archives and video. A work of hospitality, devoid of excessive light or spectacle, yet insisting on History’s memory, as the final annotation reminds us with striking dryness.

When Pigs Fly

When Pigs Fly is an over-the-top musical review featuring songs, sketches and hilarious avant garde costume designs. The show tells the story of Howard, who is having trouble producing his fantasy musical review because of constant set backs, a disagreeable cast and technical problems. In addition, he is haunted by the discouraging words of his high school guidance counselor, Miss Roundhole, who told him he would work in the theater “when pigs fly.” As Howard tries to navigates the evening of skits and songs, he learns that the problem isn’t that he has “gone too far,” but instead has not gone far enough. The show closes with an unbelievable drag showgirl finale reminiscent of Beach Blanket Babylon and Ziegfield’s Follies.
