During the Korean War (1950~1953) Second Lieutenant Kim asks an old citizen Gang of Ssarigol village to hide seven stranglers of his unit, and then he leaves to follow his ranks. An armed force official from the North side, who used to be a farm servant of the town, enters the town with armed forces and threatens the town members to hand the hidden soldiers of the South side over to them. The seven South Korean soldiers cannot but to start a combat with the North Korean soldiers. By the time, Second Lieutenant Kim's unit arrives at the town to help them to defeat the enemy. Ssarigol restores peace as usual.

Yamahiko, the younger brother, hunts in the mountains, and Umihiko, the older brother, fishes in the sea. One day, Yamahiko loses Umihiko's precious fish hook. Yamahiko goes to a country at the bottom of the sea and somehow finds the hook. But when he returns, he finds his village in ruins.

Experimental film by Motoharu Jonouchi comprised of both archival footage from the 1960s Japanese student riots and dramatised re-enactions. It was created as a tribute to Michiko Kamba, a student victim of the riots.

Tshiu-Bi and her husband Siu-Gi have a seemingly perfect marriage but still have no children. When Tsiu-Bi's friend, Le-Hun, a single mother, is forced to work in a nightclub to raise her son, Tshiu-Bi tries her best to help her. However, unbeknownst to Tshiu-Bi, Le-Hun and SiuGi were once lovers. To avoid complications, Le-Hun decides to move away, only to run into Siu-Gi again in a nightclub. After a night together, Le-Hun becomes pregnant. When Tshiu-Bi learns this startling truth, she makes a surprising decision.

This unusual film uses beautiful images and powerful music to depict the function of lubricants used in steel mill rolls and airplane jet engines.

Red Castle Lullaby by Taizō Fuyushima

Kangwan, a young and rich bachelor studying magic and Karaket, who's there to put flowers on her mother's grave, meet each other in a Buddhist temple at night time. Karaket's stepmother, who had already poisoned Karaket's real mom twenty years earlier, has similar designs on her and ends up killing her with a snake. Ghosts show up to right wrongs.

"In my filmography, An Engineer’s Assistant (1963) is called my “first film.” This PR film on the safety of the Japanese National Railways was designed to be “self-criticism” after the big accident on the Joban line at Mikawashima Station, which had occurred in 1962. Right after the events back then, the responsibility for the accident was considered to be negligence of the engineer and the engineer’s assistant. The topic of this project was the promotion of a new device to avoid accidents. However, I had seen that the true cause of the accident was a congested service schedule, and I consciously placed emphasis on the depiction of the actual work of the engineer and his assistant, and of those who had chosen the route and were responsible for safety on the line on which the accident took place."

First projected onto Jiro Takamatsu's naked back at the legendary Sogetsu Art Center for the performance Screen Play, Colors is an experiment in concoction. Iimura drops paint into oil and water and melts wax as he films the colors take shape whilst simultaneously dissolving into one another. An eerie soundtrack by Yasunao Tone of Group Ongaku and Fluxus creates an impression of music being the witch behind the craft. (Julian Ross)

YMS 504 was one of the best light war vessels of South Korean navy at the time of the Korean War (1950-1953). When the war breaks out, the ship ventures over the enemy's line and blows up an enemy fortress. And on its way back, it also sinks a boat of the enemy.

Jungle adventure / horror.

Young Qin Chong fled his home, and was later adopted by the Zhu family, who own an oil shop, but his stepmother frames him and casts him out, forcing him to sell oil on the streets. A chance encounter with courtesan Yao Qin sparks instant attraction. When the Zhu family faces hardship, Qin Chong returns, vowing to achieve success in the imperial examinations, while Wu Ba kidnaps Yao Qin but meets his death in his own mansion, leaving her holding the murder weapon.This adaptation broke from tradition, replacing the usual gongs and drums with a Chinese orchestra for its score, adopting a folk-song style.

Wong Boon-kap has recently returned from his studies abroad. Following the orders of his father Tai-ming, Boon-kap goes undercover as a mechanic apprentice in the father's factory to spy on their staff while keeping an eye out for talents. The boot-licking the factory manager Fung Hon-wing and his secretary Cheung Pat-fu respectively enlist their goddaughter Lam Hap-ping and niece Cheung Yuk-lin to join the ranks of the female workers to unveil the identity of the young boss. Ho Chui-wan lands a job at the factory through Lam's connection. Ho's disapproval of the practice of fawning and sycophancy rampant in the factory gains Boon-kap's respect which develops into romance. Tai-ming shatters the heated rumour that the young and promising Hung Yuet-keung is the young boss by announcing the wedding of his son, Boon-kap, to Ho to the huge disappointment of Fung and Cheung.

During the marathon event at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, a surprise incident occurred when a man jumped onto the course from the side of the road and tried to run alongside athlete Abebe Bikila, who was coming up Koshu-kaido Avenue far in the lead of the other runners. Noda happened to be at the scene shooting footage for Carrying the Olympics and later reprinted this short bit of film editing it into an experimental work in which the shot repeats 19 times.

Routine unfolds like an uninterrupted long take, and depicts a taxi ride from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier to the office of the Chinese Student Weekly in Kowloon Tong. It shows the street scenes of Hong Kong in 1968 and the state of mind of a Hong Kong young man after the 1967 Riot.

Interesting conceptual film where people of various ages and professions are asked to sit on a chair for 15 minutes with nothing to do. We see how bored and uneasy modern people start to feel when wasting time.

During the summer, the grasshopper laughs at the ants who are gathering food. However, when winter comes, the grasshopper run out of food, and he reflects on his past attitude as he gazes at the warmth of their home.

Hand is the second and last film produced by Cinepoem in 1966. Cinepoem is a film group founded by Yu Hyun-mok with the aim of producing avant-garde short films. Hand was directed by Yu, written by Choi Il-soo, shot by Kim Gi-Guk, and recorded by Park Ik-sun. It’s format is 35mm and B&W with a length of 50 seconds. The exceptionally short length of the film was set for submitting to the International and Universal Exposition in Montreal under the theme “Man and His World (Concours terre de hommes).” It organized a competition program for 50 seconds long films and called for works from all over the world. Winning works were supposed to screen in theaters as well on television. In the competition, 870 works from 37 countries were presented and 94 films were selected including Hand for screening at the opening of the Montreal International Film Festival.

Haneda employed various cinematic and scientific technic to explore the world of cabbage butterfly, and the result was a completely new type of educational film.

Jaroenkesa, the owner of 'Kesajaroen', a shop that sells hair loss treatment, wants to pay back his debt of kindness to his dear Indian friend, whose formula is responsible for the company's prosperity, by hiring Manas, his good-for-nothing son, to marry Namtarn, the daughter of his dear friend, for two-million baht.

The original black and white version that tells the story of a man and a woman who go by raft to a remote desert island with chickens and a dog. At first, it is a kind of paradise for them. They farm and fish following the same routine every day, feasting on grilled sanma that they roast out in the open. One day, their harmony gets interrupted by a mustachioed scientist on a raft powered by an abused pig. This unwanted visitor constructs a robot which begins the process of industrialization on the island. The couple are disgruntled but decide to put up with the man and his technology.
