After losing his girlfriend because of his obsession with necrophilia, death and a morbid fascination for decomposing human bodies, Sasha falls into despair. He suffers dreadful nightmares where he is wandering a dead otherworldly forest filled with fog and strange creatures. He happens to disturb a demonic shaman, which results in outlandish beings which start moving into our world, and strange voices are heard on his telephone line. A phone repairman comes to help with the faulty lines, but the old man is not what he seems; he's a phone-wizard and knows more than the average man about dreams, nightmares and the creatures that inhabit the other world with no shapes...

The lovers wrote thousands of letters to each other from behind the bars. These letters tell us about the feelings of young Belarusians, who fell in love in the time of the dictatorship.

The poet Natalya Gorbanevskaya (1936-2013) gained wide popularity first of all as a participant in the dissident movement and one of those legendary eight who on August 25, 1968 went to the Red Square to protest against the invasion of Soviet troops in Czechoslovakia, having paid for this several years of imprisonment. She was often called the heroine. She objected: "I'm not a heroine, I'm just an ordinary person." The authors of the film shot Gorbanevskaya for several years, asking questions that worried her as a poet, forced them to go to the square, and how her fate developed after forced emigration from the USSR.

In Soviet times it was impossible to go to a concert of composer Oleg Karavaichuk. Because there weren’t any. Karavaychuk’s eccentricity was too bewildering for the culture officials of that time, and he was practically banned from performing in public. The evacuation of the Russian Museum during the Great Patriotic War is a little–known and dramatic episode of Russian history. The echelon with paintings by Repin, Levitan, Serov, Shishkin, Rublev icons and other priceless treasures in August 1941 reached Gorky from Leningrad. There, the valuables were reloaded onto a barge, which went deep into Russia. The destinations were the city of Molotov, as Perm was then called, and the city of Solikamsk. The film tells about how they lived in the evacuation, how they worked and why after the war the participants of these events did not want to remember those difficult times.
