In the year of Leo Tolstoy's death, Dziga Vertov, an unknown boy from Bialystok, was 14 years old. The elder of Yasnaya Polyana could not know either the name or the work of the documentary filmmaker, the founder of non-fiction cinema as a high art. However, the film is structured as a parallel movement of creative aspirations, views and biographies of two artists. In his best paintings ("Kinoglaz", "Man with a Movie Camera", "Symphony of Donbass" and others), Vertov followed the basic aesthetic principles of Tolstoy, supported and developed the traditions of Russian classical literature on the screen. One of the main episodes of the film is a screen story about the Moscow agricultural exhibition of 1923, which reveals the common focus of the writer and director's efforts.

Forte is an ensemble cast documentary, featuring Tatiana Berman, Lucia Caruso, and Eldbjorg Hemsing. Directed by David Donnelly (Maestro, 2015), this fast-paced documentary explores the notion of success and excellence from the female perspective. It challenges the popular and perhaps somewhat outdated notions of success in classical music through a fast-paced narrative of three female artists. A young Norwegian violinist on the brink of stardom, a cultural entrepreneur and mother of three who reinvents the traditional concert experience to inspire the younger audience, and a first-generation American from Argentina, whose creative process of composing a film soundtrack is documented and exposed in an unprecedented way.

Since ancient times, only Evenks and reindeer herds roamed here. Civilization came here only in the middle of the twentieth century-for the first Soviet uranium, which was extracted by the Borlag prisoners, and for the copper of the unique Udokan deposit... But what brought our contemporaries-the heroes of this film-here? Who are they? What trials, sins, and memories do each of them bear? What do they (and any of us) have?) A mission?
