Giancarlo Giannini in his now usual role as the Prince of Soragna, a small town in the lower Po Valley, the starting and ending point of all the adventures in the series, is absorbed by the daily shaving ritual with his family barber, in this case played by the real Prince of Soragna, Diofebo Meli Lupi. A dear friend, the Italian tenor Vittorio Grigólo, arrives breathlessly and asks the Prince, who is half Neapolitan, for advice on the best rendering of the famous song "O Paese d'o Sole" with in the background the version by Roberto Murolo, the unmistakable voice and sophisticated performer of the tradition. The difficulty is obviously not technical for the great tenor but lies in looking for that expressivity and passion in interpretation that has made this musical form, deriving from great Italian melodrama, one of the best loved in the world.

Many people live out their final days inside of a hospital, and in France, intensive-care personnel are becoming society's undertakers. Going behind the closed doors of an intensive care unit, this project uncovers the rhythms of daily life for health-care professionals. As it moves through their routines, their atmosphere and their conversations, it immerses viewers in the intense demands of confronting and “managing” death on a day-to-day basis. In France, we die in hospital, often in intensive care. Why ? Because this highly technical discipline concentrates the last hopes of our civilization which no longer wants to die. Caregivers, despite being trained to save lives, are on the way to becoming the undertakers of our society. This is not without consequence. By staging their words, their daily lives in the service, our project tells of the difficult confrontation with the end of life by the caregivers who manage it every day.

What if the World Trade Center attacks could have been thwarted? This is one of the theories put forward by Bill Binney, former technical director of the US National Security Agency (NSA), who resigned after 9/11. Long before Edward Snowden, he denounced the intelligence services' inadequate methods in the fight against terrorism, particularly the massive collection of data. Drowned in a continuous flow of information, analysts are unable to exploit the data quickly. In the 1990s, a program called "ThinThread," implemented by the NSA, was supposed to allow targeted searches by focusing solely on useful metadata for tracing the communications of suspicious individuals. But a few weeks before the 9/11 attack, the project was abandoned in favor of private financial interests. In the United States, the surveillance market is thus 80% owned by private companies.

Throughout all this, successive generations of activists and artists have taken to the streets of this city to express themselves through art. This has given the walls a powerful and symbolic role: they have become the city’s voice. On 25th December 2011 the Georgian Patriarch Ilia II described his 34 year-long leadership as head of the Georgian Orthodox Church as a ‘sunny night’. Beginning in 1989, and going up to the present, the film essay Sunny Night tells of political and social events since Georgian Independence. A variety of formats and sources, disparate images and voices report on protests, recommencements, uproars and wars, and religious identity that centres around the dominant religion of the nation. In the midst of the ongoing shifts and the various state of affairs, the patriarch stands out as the only constant figure. Meanwhile the sermonised religion begins to take on radical forms, going as far as priests forming front row human-chains, leading protests of several thousand orthodox believers chasing a handful of LGBT activist throughout the streets of Tbilisi in May 2013.
