Kojima Kosaku is may appear to be a typical businessman, but he's far from it. Trained in sexual martial arts at his father's dojo, Kojima uses his sleazy skills to solve his company's seemingly endless stream of problems. The appearance of a fellow problem solver and sex maniac working for a rival company means that Kojima must stretch his skills to their limit.

In 1908, a ruined businessman is forced to sell his daughter, Hisano, to a brothel in Yoshiwara, the largest red-light district in Tokyo. The owners of the brothel have hopes to make her a great new addition which will attract the richest of customers. But after several months of training, she tries to flee Yoshiwara when the time has come for her to take her first customer.

A withering craftsman caters to the requests of iron ore. He breathes life into them as he listens to their wishes. His most prominent creation, a traveling box, wanders the landscape, following railroad tracks, collecting the memories of people. In this harsh world, life is dwindling and the craftsman designs machines to assist life, even that of a tree. The craftsman is more than a creator as he helps maintain the machines. As his life dwindles, so do the lives of these machines.
