No Attachment Territory is an extensive research documentary asking relevant and complex questions: to save or not to save, to interfere or not. Should one be a victim, a savior, a pursuer, or just an observer?

Sent on a forced vacation to a five-star hotel, Dr. Dolittle learns from his pet monkey Chi-Chi that an epidemic has broken out among the animals in Africa. Dividing his work into ‘periods’ — classical, American, and the perestroika era — Konchalovsky, with the help of the cinema, embarks on a cinematic journey akin to Odysseus, ultimately returning to his own ‘Penelope’: Moscow.
