Her journey will be dangerous, as the virus has affected others more terribly than death, turning them into half-humans. Sena encounters them, fights, and tries to survive. Survivors find her, half-dead. Sena carries the antivirus, but it has a strange side effect: Sena periodically loses her memory. That's what her father's tapes are for. Because of her memory loss, Sena can't tell the survivors who she is and that she contains the antivirus. Therefore, humanity is at risk.

Later, as the time of the wedding draws near, the bride is dressed with great formality and prepared for the ceremony, as the guests get ready to celebrate the upcoming wedding.

The tape is dedicated to writer, publicist, long-term employee and editor-in-chief of the Russian service of Radio Liberty Peter Vail. Filming took place in New York, Prague and Venice. The film uses rare archive photo, video and audio materials. Vail's texts are read by Alexander Filippenko. Peter Weil died in December 2009. In 2014 he would have turned 65.

In modern-day Moscow, disaffected former journalism student Roman follows a cryptic invitation to join “the elite” and finds himself forcibly transformed into a vampire.
