Concerto, MacMillan’s fusion of classical technique with a contemporary mind, completes a programme that shows the breadth of the Company’s heritage.

Set in 1987, Odd Girls is the story of a young separatist lesbian who finds herself in the unexpected position of caring for a gay man dying of AIDS. Debbie finds herself battling ignorance, discrimination and her own political and personal views, when faced with the impossible dilemma of being David’s last remaining ally. Inspired by countless true stories, Odd Girls is a short period drama with the aim of shedding a light on the selflessness and bravery of the real women who sacrificed and supported gay men with AIDS all over the world during the HIV crisis.

For centuries, bears have been relentlessly hunted and exterminated in Europe. In recent years, reintroduction programs, initiated by the European Union in particular, have aimed to re-establish these mammals in their former habitat, such as the Pyrenees or northern Italy. But the return of the bears is not without consequences, and is generating opposition. Breeders fear material damage caused by the reintroduced animals and, although rare, attacks on humans have been recorded in the past. In other European countries, such as Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, people have learned to live with bears over the centuries.

Are You Proud? is a vivid and engaged docu-celebration of the LGBT rights movement from the partial victory of the 1967 Sexual Offences Act to Stonewall, the Gay Liberation Front , the AIDS crisis, Legal Marriage and finally the 2016 Pulse night club shooting.
