Albert grew up on an isolated mountain farm in the middle of nowhere in the Alps. Although he’s already in his 30s, his omnipresent mother Marianne still pulls the strings in his life. Instead, she decides to hide the death from Albert and the outside world—and buries his corpse on the mountain.

Filmed for television, this production adapts Molière’s Dom Juan (or The Feast with the Statue), following the final days of the libertine Dom Juan Tenorio as he seduces, deceives, and provokes those around him. His servant Sganarelle serves as a constant companion and observer, accompanying Dom Juan toward the reckoning implied by the play’s statue motif.

The unemployed businesswoman Elke in Golzow, the geriatric nurse Karin in Wuppertal, the first teacher of the class, Marlies Teike, and Gudrun, the former mayor of Genschmar, as well as their father, the long-time LPG chairman of Golzow. In the fourth part of the irrevocably last film about the children of Golzow: the agricultural machine fitters Bernhard and Eckhard and Dr. Manfred Großkopf, managing director of the Landwirtschafts-GmbH Golzow, which emerged from the LPG. His epilogue recalls once again a reunion of some of the former pupils at the kindergarten's Buddelkasten on the eve of the 1st anniversary of German reunification. Accompanied by a song from the Golzow school, which wants to call itself "School of the Children of Golzow" in the future, the camera leaves the village and reaches the Oder River with aerial shots, which flows through the wide plain of the fracture towards the sea.

The starting point of the plot is a Men's club, which serves both as a meeting place as well as an alibi by unfaithful husbands. Interspersed between the sex scenes are reporters' questions on alleged passersby about marital fidelity and infidelity.

Gradually, a web of concealments and secrets is unveiled, until Katrine is finally stripped of everything, and her loved ones are forced to take a stand: What carries more weight, the life they have lived together, or the lie it is based on?

At the last performance of the Barszony Circus in Hamburg, the Indian lion-tamer Sikkim Khan is attacked by a tiger and is badly wounded. That he got away with his life at all is due to the quick action of the circus director's daughter, Tamara, who shoots the tiger. The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, conducted by Omer Meir Wellber, takes over Neuschwanstein Castle in southern Germany for a lyrical concert featuring soprano Golda Schultz, tenor Rolando Villazón, and baritone Ludovic Tézier. In this grandiose building constructed by Ludwig II of Bavaria, the prestigious trio performs works by Mozart, Verdi, and Lehár.
