Near your apartment, a murder occurs, and the culprit is on the run. You are horrified, but your boyfriend does not care and decides to go shopping. A few minutes later, the murderer drags your boyfriend into the apartment while you desperately hide under the bed.

Director Xu Linyu presents four short films: Mother, Father, Daughter and Son, in which the characters are bound together by the same family, but one of the greatest feelings between the relationships is the sense of alienation. During the filming process, Xu Linyu tries to sort out everyone's dilemma and re-understand the family relationship.

A young girl Pui and her father live together leaning on each other for support, but they still feel lonely and insecure. At the same time, the young girl is haunted by the death of her mother. After small accidents, she magically starts to walks into an Another World over and over again, where memories and realities intertwined, but she has no idea whether it’s a dreamworld, or a ghost land.

I remember that I once tried to go far away to be a monk again. I didn’t know which temple to go to. I just wanted to find a temple. So, I choose another direction instead of going to the city. I walked from 4pm to 8 pm, it was gradually getting darker. With cars coming and going, I started walking aimlessly on the road…’ It is a project of a tracking record about a young man who planned to be a monk after 108 days. I got involved in the life of the protagonist, influenced some of his choices, and then I attempted to utilize subjective monologue to construct a narrative, coupled with his personal situation, his experience in the journey and his surroundings. ‘The Cassock’ is an intersection between the truly recorded video and non-fictional phone text. My interference of the events and supposition of its future progression are also included.

Everything Flows – interval (2018) extracts a sequence of various objects swaying from Dziga Vertov’s documentary film Man with a Movie Camera (1929).

Mrs. Cho’s three daughters, Su-yeon, Ji-yeon and So-yeon, carry out their own busy lives. Upon the diagnosis of the terminally ill condition of their mother, they visit her after a long time. The three daughters bicker and compete against each other like children to win the love of their mother, and decide to use each of their skills to prepare a meal for their mother.
