The Welsh Onion

A prep school student living alone in Tokyo from Fukushima is suddenly visited by his mother. For some reason, she is wearing a white motorbike helmet. I wonder if she has come alone from Fukushima on her motorbike. When she comes into the room and puts her feet up on the kotatsu, she doesn't take off her helmet, and she is still holding the shopping bag with the leek in it. Her mother refuses to say anything. The mystery deepens and fear creeps up from the depths of the night... A Japanese "cautionary" horror film about what can happen in everyday life.

One day, he is accused of murder on campus, and he discovers that a real culprit is a fake man named Fuyui, but will he be able to defeat him? And what is the fate of Sakura, the beautiful girl who loves Sam? A series of gag jabs. The story is easy to follow, even though it breaks cinematic grammar to the limit. "You can't complain when you get this far!" A powerful comedy.

A Cut Finger At Kita-Shinjuku

A room in a shabby flat in Kita-Shinjuku. The artist, who lives there, faces the camera and gives a solo performance. He photographs his own face. He takes a picture of his own face, or of his fingers cut by a knife. He looks out of the window and keeps staring at the player abandoned in the corner of the building. He fills a 1.5-litre bottle of Coke with water and tries to drink it all at once. The artist doesn't say a word and the darkroom becomes an eerie space, isolated and lost in time, filled only with the sound of the camera driving. The final scene, in which we witness the senseless, almost insane act of a man who repeatedly tries to chug a bottle and finally finishes 1.5 litres, is a chilling experience. This is a personal film that shows the essence of fear that lurks in our everyday lives, through the artist's strong will and painful acting.

HAPPY END

This anthology film presents five different portraits of love: * A couple whose relationship has grown stale, and the surprisingly trivial reason behind their sudden breakup. * A woman who constantly berates a man while continuing to rely on and benefit from his success. * A man with remarkable persistence (or stubbornness?) who keeps proposing to the same woman no matter how many times she rejects him. * A man whose love for his girlfriend becomes so intense that he begins wearing her clothes in an attempt to become her. * A man who is reluctantly introduced to a woman who is completely not his type, only to find himself gradually drawn into her world and swept along at her pace.
