A-Hong's sister is taken away by the gangs as her mother has sold her to them. A-Hong goes to Bangkok and works under a tour guide, a wildcatter from Myanmar who has lived in Thailand illegally for years.

Wu Shao Tung is raised to be the leader of the Wu Tang clan, who previously have been defeated by the evil Yen Chan tin and his clan. He is taught roughly and is shown how to defeat the Unbeaten 18, a cave of treacherous traps.

Gofer, Mo and Pengolin, collectively known as the Three Rats, are looking for a two part treasure map and will kill anyone who gets in their way. A young girl named Shao Wa seeks to avenge the murder of her father. In order to defeat the Rats, she must learn the eight strikes of the Wild Cat from an old Kung Fu Master, while trying to evade his amorous assistant, Lee Ta Fa.

French-made documentary, "Métro Lumière", which actually does help provide some of the context for Hsiao-hsien's approach to the film. It includes excerpts from Ozu's films, in particular, "Equinox Flower", to show the parallels with this film, the obvious basis for some of the scenes and situation set-ups.

"Travelling Through Brush and Ink" is a stop-motion animation of a little modern man traveling through four significant ancient Chinese paintings, transforming himself into animals and plants, and becomes part of the nature. Each painting represents four important stages of landscape art in Chinese history. Based on the original paintings, we built the sets and animated little character inside- all frame by frame. The animation is the opening film of 2016 annual exhibition National Palace Museum Taiwan.

Hua Ge, who has been addicted to heroin for thirty years, successfully quits drugs and sets up a farm on a mountain, which takes in young drug addicts.

Chi-Lun, 27 years-old, loves trains. He is on the autistic spectrum. Studying maps and videos of transport systems in operation, he is well-versed in the transport routes of Taiwan. He, his sister and father are making plans for a train trip to Hualien after the easing of the pandemic. With a set destination in mind, he has to try to convince them. Taiwan wuxia directed by Joseph Kuo

A talented woman painter falls in love with a gallery owner, who is married. His son falls in love with her niece at first sight. The painter gets along well with the gallery owner's grown son and daughter. In order to keep their family united, his son and daughter ask her to withdraw from her love relationship, and she promises to do so to save the gallery owner's marriage.

Depicts the tragic adventure of two brothers in Shanghai. They are skilled boxers but can't resist the material temptations of the underworld.

In 1990, college student Ing, who accidently gets pregnant, returns to Lishan to spend the summer with her father. Ing notices the conflicts between her father and the farmers. She meets a young farmer Wen, and affection slowly grows between them. As summer ends, Ing leaves, and no one knows what the future will hold. To promote a new fertilizer, Ing's father gets a hot-air balloon, but hard as they try, it just can't fly.

"The Beauty of Rituals" (《祭典之美》) by Chang Chao-tang (張照堂) surveys Taiwanese folk festivals across regions and seasons, framing them through the perspectives of archaeologist Chen Chi-lu (陳奇祿), choreographer Lin Hwai-min (林懷民), psychologist Yu Te-hui (余德慧), and painter Shiy De-jinn (席德進). The script and voiceover by Chiang Hsun (蔣勳) articulate the symbolic and affective dimensions of traditional belief.With music by Ma Shui-long (馬水龍), Chou Wen-chung (周文中), Kitaro (喜多郎), and Mike Oldfield, the film juxtaposes Eastern and Western sonic forms, re-mediating ritual as a dynamic contemporary cultural field.

Peter LAN, a handsome man and a seasoned gambler, finds upon his return from abroad that his family has been destroyed by the treachery of the unscrupulous Alfred WONG, who cheated Peter’s father out of his fortune and drove him to suicide. With both his mother and father dead, Peter suspects and decides to collect evidence of Alfred’s crime. While trying to track down the villain, Peter meets Barry SUNG, a businessman and playboy working for Rex HU. Barry, the would-be gambler, and Peter quickly become friends during a gambling session. The beautiful Lily, who loves Peter devotedly, provides the hero with the crucial lead when she takes him to visit Rex, Barry’s boss. When Rex orders Barry to kill his new friend, his cover is blown. Rex HU is actually Alfred WONG, the man who destroyed Peter’s family. During the dramatic and violent showdown, Barry sides with Peter and helps to bring Rex to justice.
