Jesus Died for Somebody's Sins

Franchina, Meri, Marcella, Santo, Totino and Wonder are transsexuals who have been prostituting themselves for decades in the San Berillo district of Catania, among them there is also a woman, Alessia. The neighborhood has been left to decay for 50 years and today, more than ever, its parts are contended by increasingly pressing economic interests. Invited by the politician on duty to imagine a different future, shemales call into play desires and fears by attending a course for caregivers. This novelty infiltrates their lives but does not change the rhythms of the particular community of San Berillo in which time is marked by the feasts dedicated to saints and Madonnas rather than the seasons. Between religious faith, love and dreams for a better future the prostitutes of San Berillo recount and claim their rights, present the intimacy of their families and their solitude in front of the door waiting for customers.

Dentro di te c'è la terra

The rocks and the sea while on vacation in the Aeolian islands, the suspended time of the Apulian countryside, the faraway perspective of a girl following her image on the social networks, the closeup perspective of a black immigrant welcomed into a home. After L’uomo doppio, an intimate diary written by Terlizzi as he films everyday, existential glimpses of life, as though they were the heart of a labyrinth without walls, in which the observer pauses, serene and slightly amazed.

To Bolu

A Bolu is a choral tale, a journey through Sardinia, aimed at discovering one of the most authentic cultures of the island, pastoralism, which finds a synthesis and a genuine expression in tenor singing. The stories of the characters begin with their most important gathering: the film starts with a flashforward scene that anticipates the ending: a huge townfolk party. The facts about the faces, the voices that the viewer discovers in that celebration are explored in the journey, encounter after encounter, step by step, which ends in the great community celebration.

Rock Poet: Jim Morrison

Jim Morrison considered himself first a Poet, and subsequently a Rock Star and sex symbol. “ROCK POET” tells his story. He was far more than the hell-raiser, infamous for his arrest in Miami for exposing himself on stage, another rock casualty- dead by the age of just 27. “Classic Artists” meets with legendary Beat Poets Michael Horovitz, Michael McClure, Pete Brown of “Cream” fame, about the movement and what it meant to the burgeoning tide of Rock and Roll, more specifically, to Jim Morrison, and finds the admiration and respect for his talent as a poet and writer amongst his Beat Poet predecessors and also contemporaries to be unquestionable. This film includes revelations from those that were present in the final days and final hours of Jim Morrison, including an eye witness . A vigorously captivating insight of a time in rock history , a time in the life of the man, both rock star and poet.

Crushed Lives - Il sesso dopo i figli

With humor and wit, Crushed Lives – Sex or Kids? takes on the probing but taboo question: what happens to our sex lives after children? New father Saverio films a documentary to get to the bottom of this matter after an uninspired sex session with his wife. Interviewing couples at various stages of parenthood, Saverio unearths the fear and anxieties that seem to universally plague his peers as they collectively experience the quiet devastation of a dying bedroom. Honing in on this seldom fully explored theme of adulthood, director Alessandro Colizzi brings us on a sincere and funny journey into life encumbered by children and the fainting sexual imagination that seems to go with it.

Scherza con i fanti

Are Italians good people? debatable. But ours are, without any doubt, not warlike people, also because the millenary history of the country has seen too many wars, violence and pestilences. starting from this particular historical condition, Scherza con i fanti wants to be a universal hymn to peace, but above all it presents itself as a journey that passes through recent Italian history, exploring the difficult and even ironic relationship of the population with the military world and, in general, with power through four war diaries.

The Never Ending Factory of the Duomo

Stonecarvers, masons, carpenters, smiths, electricians, woodworkers, restorers, goldsmiths: the extraordinary, never-ending saga of the fabrication of Milan Cathedral is portrayed in the light of the sacredness of a building that lives through times, rhythms, calendars and aspirations that merge with and transcend the labor of men and women. The anonymous, humble, painstaking everyday care required by a structure such as the Cathedral, over the years and still today, reveals the magnificence of human action that spans time and generations, holding within itself a grand humanist sentiment.
