This documentary records a South Vietnamese Marine battalion conducting village-to-village search-and-destroy missions during the Vietnam War. Originally produced in three parts by Japanese television producer Junichi Ushiyama, the footage documents interactions with villagers and includes scenes of interrogations and executions that provoked official controversy.

"The original film was rescued from a Tokyo trash bin. It is an American sexual education film in which plant and animal sex are explained. I, together with an artist friend, Natsuyuki Nakanishi, punched big holes in almost all of the frames. It was a protest against Japanese censorship of explicit images of sex, particularly pubic hair which the censors would cover with black marks. I inserted a few subliminal frames of pornographic imagery from magazines several times throughout the film. At the end, I even punched holes in these subliminal pictures, thereby 'censoring' the censored image." — Takahiko Iimura

Goro Akitsu is a man playing poker in a bar in the port of Yokohama. He is a drifter from Kobe, Japan, who has been helping people who have left the organization to escape overseas. One day, he is asked to keep an eye on the stowaway of a man and his mistress, Rie. Akitsu shows up at their doorstep after a failed stowaway. In fact, Rie was the woman Akitsu had abandoned in Kobe...

Kyoichi Kageyama, a TV station reporter, is always getting into trouble. But when he gets his hands on a TV that shows the “news of the next day,” his reporting becomes a string of scoops, his love life blossoms, and everything starts going his way, until the news from tomorrow reports his aunt getting robbed and murdered!

"It's a mixture of [dead] animals, pieces of [broken] furniture, industrial waste, kids playing. I didn't have in mind any of the kind of historical perspective, nor was I trying to make an ecological statement. I was showing the new landscape of our civilization. My point of view was animistic. I tried to revive those dead animals metaphorically and to give the junk new life."

Made after Takechi had won an obscenity trial over Black Snow (1965), the film has been called "Takechi's personal message to Eirin."

A large truck traveling on a national highway at night suddenly explodes with a thunderous sound. A charred passport with the name Wang Yinghan written on it is found at the scene of the accident. Wang is the biggest drug lord in the postwar era, and the special investigation team is investigating his background. The special investigation team assumes that a traitor has killed Wang, and they quickly move into action. A few days later, a man named Chen arrives in Japan from Hong Kong.

1961 Japanese movie

Yasu, the son of an exiled man, discovered his passion for swordsmanship and went to Edo, where he trained under the name Ito Yagoro. Yagyu Sekishusai, fearing Yagoro's skill, sent his disciples to kill him.

Along with graphic designer / ad-man Ryohei Yanagihara (柳原良平) and renowned book cover designer Hiroshi Manabe (真鍋博), Kuri formed the Animation Sannin no Kai (Animation Group of Three) in 1960. In doing so the three animators followed the footsteps of the 1950s Sannin no Kai composers (Yasushi Akutagawa, Ikuma Dan & Toshiro Mayuzumi) who banded together to stage performances of their avant-garde style of music. The Animation Group of Three showcased their work at three events: November 1960, December 1962, and April 1963. After 1964 this event expanded into a wider Animation Festival, that annually showcased the experimental fare of such artists as Taku Furukawa, Sadao Tsukioka, Goro Sugimoto, Keiichi Tanaami, and even Osamu Tezuka until 1971. Stamp Fantasy was introduced at the first Animation Group of Three screening on November 26, 1960 in the Sogetsu Art Center.

Documentary filmed by young directors in Japan that was shaken by the US-Japan security pact struggles and student disputes. An illusionary image comes back to life for the first time in 34 years. (Produced in 1968 but unreleased until 2002).

An animated pilot film for Band of Ninja released to the public over three decades later on The Legend of Ninja Kamui DVD volume 7. The pilot film was created in 1969 as director Nagisa Ōshima was wanting to make a TV animation to build off his controversial film from 1967. The pilot was rejected by Shirato himself (the original comic creator the film was based on) and the plan was changed to animate Kamui Gaiden instead, a side story to the Kamui manga also created by Shirato. Though with this change, Ōshima did not partake in The Legend of Ninja Kamui's production.

A document of Tatsumi Hijikata's Butoh dance with Kazuo Ohno as the guest dancer shot in Hijikata's early period when he was emerging as the originator of Butoh. All of the male dancers are dressed up with evening suits and move gracefully, yet an intruder breaks up the whole scene abruptly. The film is worth seeing, even if just to see a memorable gay duet of Hijikata and Ohno. Overexposed, washed out images are sandwiched among normal ones.

A portrait of a man trying to become an artist in order to escape from his life as a miserable peasant due to severe annual tribute during the reign of the fifth Tokugawa Shogun Tsunayoshi.

Set on a luxury ship sailing through the Far East, the film depicts the affection of young boys for a young girl traveling alone and the exchange of youthful feelings across borders.

4 sisters inherited a sum of money and try to get married

A story of a wild girl, Minako Shima (Mari Ibuki), who finds a peck o f trouble when she gets involved with a lowlevel yakuza toughguy.

This is a short, privately produced animated film. While elucidating the mystery and fuzziness as well as merits and demerits of memory in idealizing reality, the story develops into a tale of destruction of human beings, turning the existence of the earth into a memory of the universe. The production, only 5 minutes long, greatly helps expand the viewer's imagination, embodying the enchantment of animation.

This documentary follows and records interviews with an actress in an underground theater troupe and others around her.

This was the pink film debut of Masayoshi Nogami, one of the most popular and prolific actors in the genre. Over the next 47 years, until his death in 2010, he would appear in hundreds of the films, and direct at least eighteen.
