Raj Mahal

This is a story about Rajmahal and the people related to it. Durjan Singh murdered the king and proclaimed himself the king of Raj Mahal. The King has two sons. Durjan Singh tries to finish off the King's family but they manage to escape, and get separated from each other. The elder son Vikram is raised by the tribal people whose leader is Baadshah Khan. The younger son becomes a dacoit. Durjan singh made the people suffer a lot. One day these two brothers meet in a competition declared by Durjan Singh, in which they are opponents. Unaware about the fact that they are brothers, they fight with each other. A few days later they both go on a treasure hunt and happen to fight with each other. During the fight, Vikram's shirt gets torn and the Rajnishani on his hand is recognised by his mother the Rajmata. They both come to know that they are brothers and they plan to take revenge against Durjan Singh.

Aaj Ka M.L.A. Ram Avtar

Ram Avtar, a barber in a small village, comes from a poor family, widowed, but has his wife's sister, Sushma, looking after him and his kids. Ram Avtar cuts, shaves, and grooms all males in his village, including Minister Digvijay Singh. When Digvijay's political party is in need of someone to stand in the forthcoming election, Digvijay recommends Ram Avtar as his choice. Ram Avtar accepts this challenge, and then begins the race of getting votes. To his surprise, he wins, and goes on to become a Member of the Legislative Assembly. Sushma watches from the sidelines as to how the changes affect this simple-minded and straight-forward barber.

Kalyug Aur Ramayan

Bhagwan Shri Ram would like his param-bhakt (Chief Devotee) Shri Hanuman to tour Kalyugic (Dark-aged) Hindustan, and himself witness the regression that has taken over this once peaceful, orderly, and religious country. Upon arrival in his present heavenly form, Shri Hanuman is mistaken by Police Inspector Thakur Hanuman Singh, to be a spy from a foreign country, and he gets on the run until Shri Ram changes his appearance to a wealthy man named Pavan Kumar, thus making him elude the police. Pavan meets with a man named Dashrath, who has two sons Raman and Dhaman.

Cruel and lustful Thakur Dayal Singh (Amjad Singh) brutally rapes Sarla (Nazneen), forcing her to commit suicide, leaving her young children, Vikram and Munna, homeless. Vikram and Munna try to stay together but are separated. Years later Vikram (Sanjeev Kumar) has taken to a life of crime with Ranvir, who unknown to Vikram, is none other than Thakur Dayal Singh. While assisting his friend, Peter (Paintal) to meet with his future wife, Ruby (Preeti Ganguly), Vikram meets with the ravishing Priya (Sulakshana Pandit), and both fall in love with each other. Meanwhile Munna found a place in the home and heart of the devout and kind-hearted Sher Khan (Pran), who now calls him Amar Khan. Amar (Jeetendra) grows up to a diligent Police Inspector. His duties lead him to meet many thiefs and criminals, one of whom is the beautiful Soni (Neetu Singh). After a few misunderstandings both fall in love, and Soni pledges to give up her life of crime.

Srirama Raju (Gummadi) is the zamindar of the village. Raheem (J.V. Somayajulu), his classmate and a friend, also works as his carriage-driver. The zamindar has two daughters Savitri (Rajyalakshmi) and Lalitha (Tulasi) and a son Ravi (Eswara Rao). Savitri is a born mute, while Tulasi goes to college. Tulasi meets Kiran (Kiran) who traps her in the name of love and later marries Savitri for money. Raheem's son Saleem (Rajesh) rescues Lalitha from Kiran. A couple of villagers who had grudges on Raheem create Hindu-Muslim clashes between the otherwise peaceful villagers. How all issues were resolved and the price they had to pay, to regain peace in the village as well as in their lives, forms the rest of the story.

In the spirit of mobilizing for the leftist labor and the women’s movements the Yugantar collective spent four months with female tobacco factory workers in Nipani, Karnataka in India, listening to their accounts of exploitative working conditions, discussing strategies for unionizing and steps to broaden solidarities for strike actions, and filming previously unseen circumstances inside the factories.

Widowed Judge Kedarnath Sinha lives a comfortable lifestyle with two sons, CBI Inspector Vijay, and College-going Sonu. Vijay is aware of the terrible tragedy that marked his 5th birthday celebration, when the party was interrupted by a vengeful escaped convict Billa, who killed DCP Ravi Khanna, cut-off Kedarnath's right hand, & abducted, raped and brutally assaulted Sharda Khanna. Sonu does not come to know of this until well after his 25th birthday, when Kedarnath tells him that he is Sharda's and Billa's son. A shocked and devastated Sonu accepts this reality and leaves the Sinha household. Shortly thereafter, Sonu is wanted by the Police for helping dreaded killer, Kaalia, escape from prison.

Chhuppa Chhuppi is the hilarious, fun ? filled love story of a blundering detective William Bose and a mod runaway girl Rani. To escape being married to a ridiculous young man, Rani, daughter of rich parents in the city of Delhi, runs away form home and comes to Bombay, finally securing a job as secretary to an out of work, blundering private detective William Bose. Rani?s parents, as chance would have it, employ the same detective to search for their missing daughter,. Rani is too clever to be caught by her innocent and blundering employer, and she easily manages to change the photograph of the runaway girl which her parents have posted to the detective, thus putting him off on a wrong trail and not letting him suspect that the very girl who works with him throughout the day is the object of his search. But his simplicity golden- heartedness and good nature make Rani fall desperately in love with him.

Portrait of an Average Man

In this rather routine, made-for-television movie by famed Indian director Mrinal Sen, an employee (K.K. Raina) in a large office is suddenly facing unemployment because his bosses have found him guilty of negligence. He is devastated, but he cannot lose his job since he is the only support of his family. Interspersed with the employee's efforts to convince his boss, in several different ways, that he cannot be fired are direct dialogues with the author (Shyamanand Jalan) who created the character of the employee. In these latter conversations, the employee berates his creator for giving him an impossible, no-win situation — he has no control over his fate.
