Vincent the phenomenon of Kathmandu

Vincent Greby is a French artist who divides his life between Kathmandu and Seoul. While passing through his family home in Gournay, he received a visit from his friend Jonathan Bougard who was returning from Polynesia. They haven't been seen for twenty years. Vincent presents him with some Putali from the Jajarkot district, ex votos of primitive Himalayan art, as well as a large African mask signed Grégoire Massengo, and then some of the paintings which made him known in Asia.

Keeping the Music Alive

Zohra, Afghanistan’s award-winning first all-female orchestra, has captivated audiences around the world with its musical talent. However, the return of the Taliban, with its rigid and damaging views on women and music, now puts the ensemble in grave danger. With the fall of Kabul, members still in the country have gone into hiding, while those who fled are advocating internationally to rescue their fellow musicians. The question remains: despite the challenges, will they be able to keep their music alive?

In the heart of the mountains, the most precious minerals are hidden in the stone. Some people read the history of our universe in the rock folds, while others see signs of possible veins they could exploit. If concentrations were once too low to generate profit, we could be sure they won't be one day soon. This panoramic of summits and glaciers that draw the Meije overlap in the Ecrins. We slide from 2668 m to 3357 m altitude. The rock here is granite and gneiss. Bathed in gold, it releases light and vibrates with thousands of colors.

Invincible Été

Imagine bad news. Really bad news. The kind of news that calls everything into question. That's what happened to Olivier Goy one morning in December 2020. He was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Charcot's disease. In one sentence, the simplified diagnosis fell: he probably had only three years to live and no treatment. But Olivier has decided to ignore this countdown. He intends to live life to the fullest, in spite of his handicap, and make the most of every second. We follow his new daily life, as a committed entrepreneur with a passion for technology, as a father concerned about preserving his cocoon, as a patient with an incurable disease.

Sonic Youth at Hammersmith 86

Michel Henritzi plays with the energy of broken music from the 45 rpm "Brave Men Run (In My Family)" with a radical technique which intensifies the sound explosions and coordinates and accelerates the collision of the images drawn of the film. I used a scan to work on these images, filtering them in black and white, increasing the contrast and mixing them with my other reels made during my American travels. I was looking for construction lines revealing the chaotic rhythms of my visual experiences to assemble with that of this super8 of a Sonic Youth performance, it is a hymn to chaos but also to a rediscovered freedom. – Raphaël Maze

La dure vie des surdoués

Despite preconceived ideas, pupils with high intellectual potential are not always successful at school. At the end of the 1980s, the French Ministry of Education was first called to account for this paradox. Was there a link between intellectual ability and certain difficulties in adjustment? Over the course of a school year at the Georges Brassens state secondary school in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, where an integration scheme has been in place for these types of pupils for the past fifteen years, the narrator and the various protagonists look back over their lives to identify the nuances of this question, which has become a key issue in the public debate.
