The arrival of a new toy on Christmas Eve causes trouble and chaos in the children's room.

When a German businessman heads to Russia with his wife and son Stefan on a business venture following the end of the Cold War, he quickly finds that the way east and west do business differs greatly. In the meantime, his son Stefan forms a friendship with his father’s local business partner’s son Tengis.

"Housekeeping" is about hotel rooms, how they are used fleetingly by guests, and about those who have been cleaning the same rooms for years. The way in which each room is occupied individually stands in contrast to the chamber maids' daily experience of cleaning countless rooms, all of them identical in design and appearance. In a field of tension between the chamber maids' work and their knowledge of the short-term inhabitants of the rooms the film visualizes an aspect of daily life which is often experienced but rarely reflected.

In this surrealist film director Picasso can awaken from the dead. He steals a paintings painted by himself of a couple of wealthy psychiatrists. When Picasso meets Takla Bash, a patient of the psychiatrists, Picasso falls in love. Although it is his own daughter, he remembers an incredible love affair, in which a film with a blue cow plays a role. In the majority of the paintings shown in the film are works of Herbert Achternbusch.
