He increasingly gets tired and mad at her. Unluckily he lose everything he has because of a swindler. And he calls her again...

The event is a race between the Chosi train and high school student runners. Shiina Kyoko gets impatient as the last high school student runner has yet to be decided. Meanwhile, Mamoru Kumagami is enthusiastic about taking pictures of railroads and trains. He visits the city of Choshi and meets beautiful Kimie. They get closer. Preparation for the event is finished, but an unexpected accident happens.

This experimental film manages to capture the relationship between man and nature without using words. We witness the painstaking activity of a fisherman in a Chinese village. Spring has arrived after a long winter, and it’s time to get the fishing boat ready for use. The work looks simple enough—making holes in the ice and scraping away thick layers of snow—but it’s vitally important, literally a matter of survival, to do it right.

Using their sound and film equipment like musical instruments, the members of the band GUI AIUEO:S create an audiovisual work of art. On their journey, they search for UFOs, meet odd hermits, and are introduced to the sustainable toilet.

A Jewish man in Tokyo named Joni Waka, who used to call himself "Johnnie Walker", is the model of a character in Haruki Murakami's novel Kafka on the Shore. Joni Waka also claims that he is the only Jew left in Japan descending from the old Jewish families in the country: a self-proclaimed outsider, a mythomaniac, a homosexual, and the natural center of every party. Confronted with a social pressure, he seems to ignore dominating norms and morals while using his outside position as a henna gaijin (the "strangest stranger") as a space of freedom to stage his life and create an everyday comedy.

Adam Wan, a homosexual young man who grown up in Hong Kong, trying hard to fight for rights of LGBT community, realising difficulties when achieving such goal, including conflicts with his father. He found frustration with his surroundings, thinking about how everything ended up in current societal situation. He begins to re-examine the society he lives in, his family, himself.

"Travelling Through Brush and Ink" is a stop-motion animation of a little modern man traveling through four significant ancient Chinese paintings, transforming himself into animals and plants, and becomes part of the nature. Each painting represents four important stages of landscape art in Chinese history. Based on the original paintings, we built the sets and animated little character inside- all frame by frame. The animation is the opening film of 2016 annual exhibition National Palace Museum Taiwan.

Lian Sha is an organization that aims to create a nation that mutants can call their own. To obtain more power, their leader Jialouluo (Luo Bin) has been continuously searching for the heart of Pangu. Tian Zhuyan (Lu Yujing), Lie (Yu Haorui) and Yan Liusha (Yu Lei) are three bounty hunters on a mission. They chance upon Jiang Liuer (Cui Can), the little monk whose destiny is tied to the heart of Pangu.

INNER EAR INFLAMMATION can be regarded as the answer to the title of my first music documentary, ARE WE REALLY SO FAR FROM THE MADHOUSE? Both films were shot on the spur of the moment; the difference between the two is that ARE WE REALLY SO FAR FROM THE MADHOUSE? was made specifically for Yang Haisong, whose music I had regrettably never used even though he had suggested it many times, while INNER EAR INFLAMMATION is 100% ruthless contraband. The shooting and production were completed in a very short period of time, but this doesn't mean it was sloppily done. In fact, INNER EAR INFLAMMATION is by far the least regrettable of all of my works to date, including the feature films. -Li Hongqi
