Sometimes you are told that the thing you believe in and that which really is does not exist or has never existed. Unemployed Roma (25 years old) is preparing for his first world championship in playing an imaginary guitar in the city of Oulu (Finland). Will the close Roma support his path to success?

Gorgeously shot in the wide-open Siberian wilderness this outdoor adventure chronicles the dramatic escape of a big-city bred violinist from a Siberian labor camp. Underlying the action is the tale of a man who learns to become one with his environment rather than trying to dominate it. The story begins as enigmatic, Asian tribesman Toli comforts the starved violinist Dimitri that they will be escaping soon. They get their chance when a beautiful herd of Yakut horses begin grazing placidly near where the two are toiling. Sneaking away from the others, they grab tow hand steeds and race off. Unfortunately, Toli is mortally wounded. Just before he dies, he tells Dimitri that he is a powerful shaman and then hands the fiddler a protective amulet. In this way, Toli becomes Dimitri's guardian spirit. The city youth will need all the help he can get as he and his horse must traverse the unforgiving wilds and keep away from guards, alone.

Katya and her mother have an unusual relationship. The father left their family and it became a great challenge for them: Katya is a troubled adolescent stealing cigarettes and her mother is a desperate woman who barely talks to people. On New Year's eve, Katya decides to end her mother's suffering by making her spend time out of home.

Over the course of a late-summer's day in Moscow, Veronika, a charming if naive woman in her thirties, unwittingly embarks on a journey of self discovery as what starts out as a quest for romance leads her to some unexpected places.

The story takes place in Tundra. The local camp is preparing for a wedding, if it can be called a wedding in Nenets traditions. There are no guests, no closest or distant relatives, no feast, no songs, no smiles. The bride arrives to the groom’s camp without any attributes of a celebration. Young Alyoshka marries because his mother insists – the chum should not go vacant, the family should not die out. His heart though longs for Ilne, the daughter of old Petko. Ten years ago Ilne left the camp for the mainland. Every day Alyoshka checks the road hopelessly waiting for his love to return.
