The Taisho era was a time of turbulence in Japan. From new marks of modernity to full-blown riots, a sense of revolution filled the air. The Dam Dam Group is a small anarchist organization lead by Daijiro, a silver tongued "Benshi", a performer who provides narratives for silent films, playing multiple roles. In other words, he was a master at the art of deception, a handy talent when it came to 'doing jobs' for his group. His revolutionary ideals attracted many to his squadron, but among them was a young girl who was oblivious to his group's activities. Her name was Shino.

Year 1929. The discovery of the skull of Peking Man scares the Japanese because, it is alleged, its existence would challenge the foundation myth of the emperor and, therefore, of the Japanese themselves. So they send a crack unit to China to destroy the specimen. But the Chinese won't give up without a fight.

During the Ching Dynasty, a Buddhist priest named Hung must take a journey to spread the word of Buddha. He takes the holy Scriptures along on his journey to southern China. Armed with this new fighting style Huang embarks on a mission to retrieve the documents. He'll need more then just skill to take on Dai-kiangs army of misfits, but will he find the help he needs?

Po-Chih Leong's debut film was a trendsetter in Hong Kong cinema.
