Short film.

Prospective hotel owner Carlos is having problems with the completion of his hotel on the Adriatic. He quickly asks his niece Vivi in Germany to cancel the bookings he has made so far. Unfortunately, his telegram reaches her too late and a motley group of guests arrives. They promptly pitch tents in the garden of the half-finished building.

The film depicts scenes of everyday life in East Berlin and does not feature a narrator throughout its entire runtime. In a few instances, text panels appear to provide explanations of the images shown. The scenes are accompanied by interviews, speeches, and radio broadcasts, though these do not always correspond to the images on screen.

A paean to alcohol as a means of survival to this world, and to the ephemeral communities created by our need not to be alone. On Christmas Eve, between six in the evening and four at night, Klaus Wildenhahn films people who are excluded from this "must be" celebration, and land up in a bar in St. Pauli, Hamburg: truck drivers and prostitutes, regular or casual customers, a coach and an amateur boxer... all desperately in search of happiness, tenderness and sex.

In his play, Ted Willis deals with the so-called hooligan problem: Mandy Tullis, a young girl from London whose father has died, loves the member of a youth gang, the cynical-brutal Tago Martin, who has always narrowly escaped prison to escape. "Boss" of the gang is the failed student Alan, son of rich parents. One day at a meeting in the hangout, the young soldier Frank Morgan, an acquaintance of the family, appears to bring Mandy, whom he loves, out of the unpleasant environment and to bring her home. The gang reacts brutally, beating up Frank and throwing him into the street. However, the boys are observed and reported.

Little Max and his friend Tüte want to make the pharmacist into an April fool by asking him for a bottle of mosquito fat. But the pharmacist is clever and sees through the boys’ plan. He labels a bottle “Muscle Power for Cosmonauts, three tablespoons per hour.” Tüte wakes up little Max during the night because he is so excited to share his discovery: One sip from the bottle will turn anybody into a cosmonaut. Little Max drinks some of the tonic and immediately finds himself in full cosmonaut gear. Suddenly, both boys are in outer space, but the tonic has worn off and they are in their pyjamas. They urgently need another sip from the bottle. Or maybe it was all only a dream?

Engineer Franz Bach seems to have gone astray once again. Working overtime, nagging at his wife and his parents sleeping apart lead the children to come to this conclusion. It can't go on like this. His youngest son Täve does his best to keep his father away from the very young intern Irene. Täve's 19-year-old brother, on the other hand, tries to steal his father's mistress. His wife Margarete also wants to bring a breath of fresh air into the marriage.

A studio-shot showcase of Marcel Marceau’s pantomime art, this 1960 West German TV special strings together a suite of wordless vignettes centered on his alter ego Bip.
