Der Tote bin ich

Stefan Schröder is a trainee teacher for Latin and German. He has just moved into an apartment in an old, desolate house in the Berlin suburbs when he receives a letter from the school authorities: they have doubts about his loyalty to the constitution! From now on, Stefan feels persecuted, constantly watched and monitored in his apartment. Added to this is the fact that the actual, mysterious main tenant is away for an unforeseeable period of time and keeps one room locked. The suspicion that someone is going in and out of his apartment and that the people surrounding him are not who they claim to be becomes ever stronger. Stefan frantically searches for a motive.

Hallo Berlin

In this film, the camera rediscovers West Berlin in a lively and surprising way, with refreshingly unconventional, sensitive, and spontaneous images. Ingrid Steeger, the well-known Berlin television actress, cycles through the city as a poster sticker and, as a "cute Berlin brat," spins a tourist orientation thread with charm and wit. Another Berlin veteran accompanies her: Harald Juhnke maintains contact with the viewer as a commentator in a conversational tone. This film is a charming invitation to West Berlin that is hard to resist, because this city is a lively metropolis: spacious, green, romantic, and lovable.

Silence of the Grave

The film resembles a Ten Little Indians plot, with the crew of a Western film in post-production (who are staying as guests on an island retreat) cropping up as corpses one by one after the mysterious and inexplicable kidnapping of a child. The film plays up its traditional mystery angle, with each of the guests being as likely a suspect as the next, in scenes such as one in which all of the guests sit around in the parlor and cast dramatic, accusatory glances at one another.
