When Hugo falls under suspicion of having failed in his profession he again turns to God.

Bibi is 17 and already has a baby, 15-year-old Riki is determined to become a private detective in Paris - but she is determined to take the fireplace from her homestead in Africa with her overseas.

A GDR documentary from the 1980s. Sachsenplatz in modern Leipzig: Waltraut Kosetzka, 61, and 55-year-old Inge Arnold are among the women who helped to rebuild the destroyed city after the collapse of the Third Reich. The film portrays the two women, documents their biographies, accompanies them in their everyday professional and private lives and visits their old places of work as rubble women. To emphasize the importance of their work, old footage of destroyed buildings is contrasted with new buildings. "Meeting place at Infinity" - Combines interviews with family members, contemporary witnesses, experts and critics, text passages as well as photo and film material with staged film scenes. The result is a portrait of the writer, his family and his time.

The time is World War II, and Juergen Siebusch and his mother are retreating along with the German army, just ahead of the invading Russian forces. Both mother and son hole up in the town of Hohengoerse, where Juergen finds some work watching over sheep - and learns a bit about the facts of sheep life that he extrapolates to some advantage when he meets the appealing Amelie, daughter of the landowner. He first helps Amelie out and later applies his new-found knowledge in a barn, appropriately enough. As the Red Army draws near, Juergen deserts a hastily put-together "people's force," as he prefers the barn to the gun. Russian soldiers are shown sleeping and snoring next to their tanks, and the local fascist executed - the war is over. When the new Communist government sets up a land reform package, Amelie's mother's land gets divided up into small plots for small farmers.

The poem "Der Anachronistische Zug oder Freiheit und Democracy" (The Anachronistic Train, or Freedom and Democracy), written by Berthold Brecht in 1947, forms the basis for the campaign launched on the occasion of the 1980 federal elections under the slogan "Brecht statt Strauß" (Brecht instead of Strauß): a journey across the entire Federal Republic.

After the short story of Franz Kafka “Unhappiness”. A young woman is visited by a ghost while vacuuming. Suddenly, her apartment is located in the cellar. They argue and the ghost leaves. 2 parallels meet in the infinite, says the one: “Go out of my way, you seem to have strayed.” Says the other: “For thousands of years I’ve been looking for a formula to find you, please do not send me away again.” The first one is already slightly pissed: “The destiny of a parallel is to be eternally alone, on the way to infinity.” “No, no,” the second one desperately screams: “One parallel is nothing, alone you are only an undefined line.“

From one day to the next, the life of married Ulla Kranz is turned completely upside down. She has spent 23 years at Werner's side, they have been through thick and thin and have a daughter together named Jenny. Short documentary about celts

When the ten-year-old Til and two of his friends are caught in heavy rains, they escape into a barn. They are not alone in there, however. A man whom they do not recognize is obviously stealing crop from the barn. When the friends investigate the matter, Tim discovers the terrible fact that the thief is his own father. Since he wants to keep his discovery a secret by all means, he sets his friends on the wrong track. Although Til is embarrassed and would like to know the reason for the thievery, he does not have the guts to take his father to task. Eventually, he breaks the secret to the coachman Paul. In the meantime, however, his friends have also found out about Til′s father and the case is revealed.

Little Felix Grosser is given a chest full of tin toys by old Mrs. Goldberg. The woman had once saved the toys for her future grandchildren, but her children were too busy working to start a family. Now Felix receives the old toy and Mrs. Goldberg warns him not to let it fall into other people's hands. Felix takes a white, dancing "magic horse" from the chest into his nursery, along with various other items. His parents, who are busy remodeling the bathroom despite a lack of materials, only find out after a while that the pony is a gift from Mrs. Goldberg, who no longer lives in the house. They have no idea about the chest full of toys in the attic.

Film material is subjected to biochemical processes by burying it in the garden, storing it in a pond, or overheating it. The results of these natural processes of decay or aging are then copied back onto film and thus conserved in the state of their dissolution. - Lightcone

A piece of lint from a Beethoven fan's record collection sticks to the clothes of a bank robber. Inspector Koschonsky finds the lint and solves the case using a chain of evidence consisting of lint, musical notes, and sounds.

The film is a late payoff with a Genius, who took his job more important as the politics that led to total destruction.

A lonely young lady strolls through the busy streets of a big city in the evening and casts meaningful glances at passers-by. Short conversations ensue and a man finally invites her to his place. He laboriously prepares dinner for her, but she becomes increasingly bored and suddenly disappears. She walks through the streets again and finally enters a record store. With ambiguous words she attracts the attention of the salesman, then the movie ends.

The fourth part of the Wittstock cycle is not only a continuation of the cinematic chronicle of the "Ernst Lück" tricot factory, but also a first summary of the development of the company since its almost ten-year existence. Edith Rupp takes center stage. She is now a master craftswoman and has become engaged, but is still skeptical about what the future will bring.
