The great sick nowadays, the traffic, is always under observation. Methods and studies to attempt to decrease harmful discharges. But if planes and trains are constantly under control, the same goes for cars and pedestrians, where an infringement can often cause collateral damage to other drivers and / or pedestrians as well. Examples of how in some cases reckless driving can cause serious damage. Safer driving, on the other hand, can avoid further aggravating the problems of the very sick person. In this film we are shown the interior of the old Paris apartment where the artist's mother still lives, surrounded by the magnificent pictures by her husband Michel Loffredo, a painter of Neapolitan origin. At the same time we see a crane outside demolishing the house opposite, and the protests – which are often hand-written on the walls by the people living in the neighborhood – against property speculators and the 'renovation' which is being imposed with the violence of a mechanical digger. The camera pauses powerlessly before the equipment and the magnificent portraits in the apartment, then it moves on to look at the inhabitants of the area, the little cafés, and oblique views of Montparnasse which still retains its pleasant bohemian ambiance.

"I repeat the matter of the plane etc. (Referring to the 1971 film Terra): I started here to play swinging themes, like from an airplane flying unbalanced, the effect is amazing, they said."
The film expresses the difficulties artists come up against whenever they try out ‘paths’ that are outside the ‘system’. All this is represented through this project and, therefore, through the realisation and use of a tool (Il Commutatore, 1970) with which it is possible, in successive phases, to supersede the physicality of the city and to project oneself towards the ‘void’.

The construction of the image is simultaneous with the production of sound. The first recorded video is used as both visual and sound score for the second which, intended as a new score, determines the third. The procedure makes it possible to obtain an image-sound orchestration created by a single performer in real time in the presence of the spectators.
The video makes visible the hypothetical journey made by a sound. The air trapped inside a tube placed at the end of a clarinet travels a long way before being able to free itself through a note. The time that constitutes the duration of the video passes between the production of the sound and the possibility of listening to it.
The instrument used is a rubber tube with a sax mouthpiece. Unfortunately, in the video document it is impossible to perceive the spatialization effect, which is why the sound piece was composed.
This work marks a milestone in my research with video. For the first time, in fact, I'm using a particular system of my own invention: the video loop. The technique, previously used in the music field, is applied by me to video and allows me to create infinite superimpositions of images and sounds that accumulate in real time. This technical-poetic procedure will later determine a large part of my video production and will find the most correct application in music video performances.
Through gestures and sounds produced by the performer, movements and verses of 12 animals are reinterpreted.
Here appear the images of the author in front of a screen with the writing "The End". Then the transmission cuts out, such as a central failure, about 60 seconds of vacuum. Under the white image, a pained cry is heard. The writing "Il televisore che piange" returns to the screen. Then the camera focuses on the writing "The End".
This work is based on an image-sound relationship of an emotional type that is not justified by any rational motivation. An electronically produced music and a particularly emotional image are put in relation to each other: the result is a very ambiguous image-sound relationship that manages to communicate all the tension that the video wants to express.

An analysis of the nature of this means of communication. The absence of an action on the video does not mean the negation of the video; on the contrary, the less freedom is granted to the image, the greater freedom is granted to the imagination.
