This work is a spin-off drama from the film " Negotiator: Mashita Masayoshi ," which was released in May 2005 as a spin- off project "Dancing Legend Movie" of the drama " Bayside Shakedown," which was broadcast on Fuji TV in 1997. The story revolves around Inspector Kijima Joichiro, played by Terajima Susumu , who appeared in "Negotiator: Mashita Masayoshi" as the field commander of the special crime investigation unit chasing the suspect on the ground. In the story's chronology, this work takes place before "Negotiator: Mashita Masayoshi," and the final scene of "Fugitive: Kijima Joichiro" leads directly into the opening scene of "Negotiator: Mashita Masayoshi."

She had the strap of my video camera that Yuda stole from me, and said she saw the address that was on the strap, so she came here. I asked her about Yuda, and she told me that he was dead. Right after she left my office, she was hit by a car, I visited her in hospital and she begins to tell me about the mysterious story of her and Yuda.

From July 21 through September 10th, 2007, the Museum for Contemporary Art Tokyo held an exhibition honouring Kazuo Oga, the art director and background artist for many famed works from Japan's Studio Ghibli. Over 600 works from the artist were on display, and numerous fans flocked to the one-of-a-kind exhibition celebrating the lush, gorgeous background artwork typifying many a work from Hayao Miyazaki and other Ghibli filmmakers. International fans of Oga and Studio Ghibli have not been left out, however. A Ghibli Artisan - Kazuo Oga Exhibition - The One Who Drew Totoro's Forest allows fans the opportunity to attend the exhibition, as well as watch interviews and testimonials with Oga's contemporaries and collaborators, all subtitled in English.

Five years have passed since 12 members of the choir were brutally murdered in the music room of Seiran Jogakuin, a prestigious school in the suburbs of Tokyo. A TV news crew visits the scene to clarify the rumor that children's songs can be heard from coming from the closed school. Tatsumura Yusuke, Toho Advertising's deputy sales manager was a childhood friend of Akiko and Katsuya. In fact, there is a secret that cannot be divulged about the relationship between Akiko and her father and the truth behind his death between these three people. They don't contact each other after they grow up but 25 years later, that secret comes back to Akiko in an extortion letter. Meanwhile, Tatsumura's division suddenly competes in a big project with a budget of 1.8 billion yen. Tatsumura works towards a successful pitch with Tachibana, Hirano, and Totsuka but interference within the company from envious parties and a heated contest with a rival firm remains. Then Tatsumura learns that there is a link between this project and that secret from his past...

Based on a play by Hisashi Inoue, it focuses on the sufferings of the survivors of Hiroshima. The film takes place during 4 days in the summer of 1948, as the ghost of her father visits Mitsué (Rié Miyama). He had somehow learned that she has fallen in love, and tries to convince her to start her new life. But Mitsué obstinately refuses his warm and humorous encouragements : « People were killed in my place. I do not have the right to find happiness », she says.
