The Man Who Perceives All

In his provocative new work of existential science fiction, Emre Busse invites his audience to question the meaning of “the gaze” as part of the post-human experience by replacing the eyes on the face with the orifice. This jarring visual and switch from the literal to the metaphorical leaves the protagonist to redefine his own human desires while reinventing his new self. In this new, surreal world of customizing sexual desires, one is left to question why they have been programmed to accept the bare minimum of their deepest desires in the first place!

Defect

After finding the soundtrack of Tararira, the only Argentine surrealist film shot in 1936, lost since then, and starring their great-grand uncles, the Aguilar brothers set out to unravel the family history at the crossroads of the great political events of the 20th century. It is also a story of El Cuarteto Aguilar, a very particular music band, which had an openly lesbian member in the first half of the last century. The discovery of the soundtrack of the lost film leads to a documentary collage that travels through Argentina, Spain and other parts of the world to ask again, one hundred years later, if perhaps the revolution is not also an aesthetic.

Le Compromis : Dans les coulisses du pouvoir

A fascinating immersion into the realities of the European Parliament, alongside three MEPs – Lara Wolters (Labour, Netherlands), Heidi Hautala (Green League, Finland) and Manon Aubry (LFI lead candidate for the June 9 elections, France) – determined to get the European Union to pass a law on the human and environmental responsibilities of companies, particularly multinationals. How, in just a few months, will they be able to secure a majority without watering down the text? While a dramatic saga came to an end in March with the adoption of this directive on the "duty of care," whose scope was nevertheless weakened by governments, the struggle of these three women sheds a harsh light on the issues at stake in the upcoming elections and the power relations within European institutions.
