Pantanal

The film reveals the astonishing beauty and profound ecological importance of the Pantanal: the largest tropical wetland on Earth, spanning over 17 million hectares across Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. The wetland is home to several groups of Indigenous peoples as well as rare and endangered wildlife, including species found nowhere else. But the Pantanal has suffered more fire damage than any other ecosystem. Told through the journeys of two environmental defenders, and blending beautiful cinematography with insights from scientists, Indigenous leaders and activists, the film is a wake-up call and an invitation to stand alongside those working to protect one of the last truly wild places on the planet.

Our Boys. Russian Volunteers in Ukraine

A documentary by the Dossier Center tells the story of Russian volunteers who have joined Ukraine's side and are fighting for its liberation. In Russia, these individuals are labeled as terrorists: they have crossed into the Kursk and Belgorod regions armed and engaged in battles with the Russian army. These volunteers made a choice that severed ties with their families and friends. Dossier journalists traveled to the frontlines to explore what drives these Russians to take up arms against their compatriots. This film is not only a chronicle of the war in Ukraine but also an exploration of deep moral conflicts. It is a story of traitors, heroes, and their tragic futures.

Rebels with Cause

Guerrilla gardening is not for the faint hearted. Or at least, that’s what these two rebels tell us, as we follow them on an eye-opening journey around London - throwing seeds everywhere and anywhere, planting spider plants, and planning their ‘Big Project’. But when they finally track down the Original Guerrilla Gardeners (OGGs), and learn what guerrilla gardening really entails and how it's helping our communities, their beliefs and friendship are put to the test. In this humorous mockumentary, we meet the people who are doing their bit to bring ‘botanarchy’ to our urban spaces.

S'well

Ella used water as this universal way to connect us all, showcasing the beauty of glistening water as they trained to take part in a swim for Palestine. The film shows many conversations had between Ella and their best friend as they trained for their marathon swim. They spoke of the endurance and new found understanding of what one’s body is capable of when in a great body of water, and one has no way of turning back. Ella’s message is clear, that liberation can be beautiful, liberation can be heart breaking, liberation can be a great body of water, liberation can be found in the smallest of things but the grandest of feelings. Such as swimming through water.
