A young German man who has just arrived in America, hopes to get over the collapse of his marriage. However, he soon discovers that his ex-wife is pursuing him.

After the death of the owner of the house Lina Braake is living in, the house is accrued to the bank. During the complete refurbishment of the building, the 81-year old woman is thrown out of her flat and is put in an old people′s home. There she meets 84-year old Gustaf. Together, the lively seniors come up with a plan to trick the bank with a smart credit fraud and take their revenge. They need the money to buy a country house on Sardinia and leave Germany for good. Although their coup proves to be successful, the bank soon finds Lina. But due to her old age she cannot be tried anymore.

The documentary focuses on a children's home in East Berlin. In 1953, the largest children's home in the GDR was established in Königsheide. Initially built to house war orphans, the educational institution quickly became the GDR's model home and was given the name "Kinderkombinat A.S. Makarenko." From the mid-1960s onwards, "state children" were to be raised here according to the slogan "Ideal home in an ideal state."

Ui takes the raised hands as a sign of approval... Bertolt Brecht wrote the play in 1941 in a Finnish asylum - the premiere only took place in Stuttgart after his death in November 1958. It has been staged at the Berliner Ensemble since 1959 - Ekkehard Schall has played Ui over 500 times since then. On January 13, 1974, the play was shown for the last time, recorded in color by GDR television.

1979 German super 8 short work

Count Harro von Treuenfels is suspected of poisoning his wife. Griseldis von Ronach, his daughter's governess, falls in love with the count and sets out to find the real culprit.

Father Karlheinz Liebtraut and daughter Elke live together and don't know how to introduce their partners to each other. As a precaution, Mr. Liebtraut rigorously throws out any man who approaches his daughter. Even the subtle hints from neighbor Mrs. Seidenglanz don't help the obtuse father - and he also has his secrets. After many misunderstandings, the daughter finally meets Paula, her father's future wife, and daughter Elke no longer has to pass her Hanspeter off as an electrician.

This documentary shows the German Peasants’ War between 1524 and 1525 and looks at the role of Thomas Müntzer in it. Müntzer, who was a follower and admirer of Martin Luther, directed his resistance not only against the clerical authorities ruled by the papacy, but also against the secular worldly order. In Mühlhausen, Müntzer worked as a pastor in the Marienkirche and later became an agitator and promoter of the violent liberation of the peasants. Luther distanced himself from Müntzer at the beginning of the Peasant Wars. In the battle of Frankenhausen the rebels were completely defeated, Müntzer captured, tortured and publicly executed on May 27, 1525.

In his daydreams, 15-year old Otto is a real hero who masters dangerous situations by the dozen. But in reality, the rather imaginative ninth grader has trouble moving up to the next grade. Fortunately, his teacher Nickel notices that Otto does not lack intelligence, but the ability to use his imagination for the requirements of everyday school life. Together with school director Menschke, Nickel tries to change Otto’s attitude. Although this is easier said than done, Otto eventually realizes that he has to try to build his cloud-castles only after school has ended. And his teacher is going to support him in his attempts.

This friendship also gave Maria the strength to study medicine after the war and to succeed as a doctor. But the ongoing fight against the common class enemy also welds the two women together, and Maria Fabian then unexpectedly meets the former landowner and current industrialist Guttenberg. He was the tormentor of her family during the Nazi era; now it is time for Maria, now a self-confident woman who owes her professional success to her state, the GDR, to successfully confront this representative of the class enemy.

Electronic data processing is an absolute must in the Information Age. Karl Hoppe, the director of a large plant, is aware of this need for modernization and hires mathematician Dr. Jochen Bernhardt to install computerized systems which are supposed to calculate ways in which the plant could be run more effectively. Dr. Bernhardt is so focused on efficiency that he forgets about the human side of work, causing his girlfriend to leave him and several dissatisfied employees to quit their jobs.

The follow up of this rough document in the annals of the youth culture and it's first steps to become a worldwide phenomenon was the production of "Bored Teenagers" for German TV Station ZDF, which showed it in the frame of "Das kleine Fernsehspiel". Filmed at Locations around London, Cologne, Wuppertal and Büld's Hometown Lüdenscheid, it's parted into rare recordings of Adverts Live-Gigs mixed up with a little Storyline of a young couple that supports the Band around TV Smith and Gaye Advert on their Tour across Germany.

The Kreuzberg district of West Berlin is home to foreign workers - Greeks and Turks who are struggling for a better future, while trying to maintain their national identity. The lives, problems and collective political action of the Gastarbeiters are explored in this great documentary by Giorgos Karypidis, who for a while had also lived and worked as a director in Berlin for the public television SFB.

Erika and Franziska haven't seen each other for 4 years. 10 years earlier they both felt that they had the same chances in life: both were young, attractive and imaginative. Even when Anneliese witnesses an armed robbery, committed by infamous Wollnick and his gang, she stays lethargic and apathetic – she keeps silent instead of helping the inspector who is a friend of her aunt. It is not until Anneliese by coincidence meets her former lover, the watchmaker Kurt, that her life seems to take a positive turn.
